Someone polled Howard Schultz's favorability ratings because he's been making noise about running as an independent. His numbers :4% favorable, 40% unfavorable, 54% unknown. Never even heard of numbers that bad before.

He's such a boring independent middle ground option who offers the vaguest policy when prodded, when he should be shouting out what he is campaigning for. Without any inflammatory sayings or anything that appeals to a certain base (except maybe his fellow 1% buddies) he's just another billionaire pretending at being a politician that will fail. Maybe he believed Starbucks drinkers would vote for him unconditionally, or how he could ride some Trump billionaire momentum without understanding why Trump won. There's a high chance he was doing this for the cheap publicity and to sell his book.

I think she's pretty good as a caster. She's been really involved in SEA dota, but I haven't had a chance to listen to her cast that region. Her eyes are a little wild, but I'm betting that's mostly due to the camera/makeup.

Been reading up about Relotius, that story is crazy. How'd that go on for so long?

That is a question the entire press of Germany has been asking themselves for a while. I really really despise the man, pulling shit like this at a time where credibility of the press has already been under assault for quite a bit.

The magazine he wrote for has always had a bit of a narrative streak in their pieces but they also prided themselves in their adherence to the press code.
I mean his style was picture-perfect for SPIEGEL, so it did not stand out too much, although reading through the articles now makes it really obvious in hindsight.

For the prizes he won it really helps that he wrote for SPIEGEL since they have an insanely good reputation (even if their quality has gone down in recent years in my opinion) linking back to this incident back in the sixties. Nobody really thought someone employed by them would go that far I suppose....
