ive been playing some sc2 ladder when i'm bored and have nothing to do in the middle of the night, and what in the world did they do to the matchmaking system. As far as I can tell in order to incentivize new players or something they make your games REALLY easy for a very long time, and you get promoted pretty slowly. Its made for a bizarre experience where I am very awful but have lost 3 or 4 out of 30 or so games. Its very curious to me, because while I get that its a game where its pretty punishing to lose your first 20 games and probably bad for player retention; they have themselves created the same sort of smurf situation that existing players in most games absolutely hate.

This wasn't a new account or anything, but I had not played on it for several years. Every game I have played (every single one) was against platinums, It placed me in silver and quickly promoted me to gold 3 but I've been that for 10 or so games. Isn't this annoying for the people I am playing against? most of these games are pretty onesided and they are getting smashed by someone several divisions below them? Seems weird. However its perfectly fulfilling what I want out of it so heyo.

I wonder if its just the few losses. (which were all to protoss timings cuz I have no idea what the timings are and just play vanilla macro games, and attack when maxed often with 40+ supply lead.) Do you actually have to fill the little bars for every promotion? And why did they change bonus pool to not get added on to wins but only to absorb losses, i think thats contributing probably.

Fine like I'm pretty stable, generally pretty happy or functional, more or less doing what I want to do with my life.

Its unfortunate tho cause I've fallen for this girl completely and shes crazy about me but she just isn't in a great part of her life so...things just aren't lining up great:X

These artifact pack and event ticket prices seem really high at launch.
But since the marketplace prices will eventually crash it will become accessible to more people.
And there's also incentive to get on it early to get the most cashback from your extra cards.
So it's like an early access at a premium.

If there is no free or really cheap draft option I'm probably going to skip but it's an interesting concept.
Also there's apparently no achievements or reward for invested time, the events/tournaments have to be pretty dope.
