Kinda like I know what I should be practising to become a better drummer. I just don't manage to fit in practice time in my daily life since for ever.
Ah well, guess I'll do two solo ranked games a day after work and ~8 a day or something on weekends. Seems reasonable to me without having to force the games too much. If I play more than that then I enjoyed it more than expected and that is fine. If grinding mmr I should start with an unranked, bot or something to warm up as well.

Maybe I should change my description of what I want to train at from offlane (since I mostly do pos 5 currently and want to branch out) to techies. All roles, how to techies.

Hey man I recognize the conceit in my own statement. I'm not Drumpf-level self proclaimed supergenius, but I've waged debate with people way more educated than myself and claimed ground.
Also been dead wrong about plenty of shit but hey thats how i learn.

Anybody who casually brings up their intelligence is probably overcompensating for something. It's one of the things that causes depression and anxiety. Most of these people have an image of their own capabilities/intelligence in their mind but when reality doesn't seem to mirror that there is a feeling of inadequacy. Normally therapy will address this but it's very difficult because the individual has a ingrained sense of self importance and arrogance that blocks real progress. I read about this in some medical papers a months back and thought it was really interesting. One of the excercises to improve the condition had the patients reduce their excessive pride in rank and make a conscious effort to value all knowledge, not just the knowledge they gave value to i.e. try to branch out and develop new hobbies or interests. The act of trying to learn about something your brain knows you are completely awful at seems to help alleviate some of the anxiety and develop new neural pathways.

na I was being serious d00d
I think the whole concept of intelligence is skewed since people look at successful and famous people and all that. Chasing personal success and fame isn't even smart to me and I would say modern life favours those with sociopathic and egotistical tendencies more than it favours those who are simply smart.
Humility is just fucking pointless though, it's just another aspect of the slave mentality drones are imprinted with.

I'm actually convinced that macos is actually less usable for business users than windows is
none of the shortcuts make sense, multitasking is awful, window vs app management is pretty bad, some of the typing shortcuts (delete, end, & home especially, along with quick text selection) are stupid
the underlying parts are amazing though feels good having native unix

Though this is tangentially interesting, this is pretty much armchair psych. By all means, if you ever recognize an actual criticism, please let me know! And that's genuine, not just internets dickwaving.

I'm not a licensed psychiatrist but when you spend the better part of a decade buried in medicine you are bound to read a couple of papers. You obviously know yourself better than anyone else so it's pointless to make conjectures about what you might be facing. I simply made an observation based on my everyday experiences based on some shit i've read along the way. You might truly be smarter than most everyone you interact with everyday. I don't doubt that. The average person is not very smart and lacks the drive to improve themselves so that does give you great odds. Another thing to note is that education does not always make someone smart. Both my parents have doctorates but ask them a question about something else and you wonder how they manage to make coffee without burning down the house. I have a pet theory that the programs that they went through broke them but that isn't really important.

Once I graduated highschool I realized how little I actually knew. I try to work harder to try to make up for my shortcomings. Knowing that I was a retard relieved me of the burden of having to know everything so I don't feel bad asking questions. Sure you might look like a fool but people don't remember that stuff so why worry about it. Some people actually thank you for asking a question they were too afraid to ask. Gonna be honest though, it's very easy to become depressed because of feelings of inadequacy so I think there is a balance that you gotta hit.

Just ask if you're sure you don't know how to fix a problem or complete a task. Faking it and having the facade cone crashing down is not nice for anyone

Thx for the response Spicy. I appreciate you fam.
And yeah education doesn't necessarily equate intelligence, but being able to debate with students of a field and actually be able to grasp at least something of what the fuck the subjects at hand are is somewhat gratifying. Though some fields (Philosophy, I'm looking at you) are so fucking esoteric and couched in their own language that its practically impossible to even approach on an intellectual level as an "outsider".
And I'm not talking about getting high and mulling over what it means to be (or not to be), but actually talking about what x philosopher had to say about y subject. God that stuff was miserable.

Frostpunk making me choose all the empathetic choices instead of the rational, reasonable ones. Weird. And my real-life views normally fall in the latter.
