But honestly i'd be fine with warcraft 4 just being warcraft 3 with prettier graphics and slightly smoother gameplay, i don't need it to innovate the genre, i still play WC3 to this day, it's by far my favourite RTS.

WoW's established some parallel dimensions type of story, they could just have the story be a continuation of TFT, and be disconnected to the WoW dimension. Just go full comic book reboot? They could do that. Or they could just set the game in one specific era of the WoW timeline and tell some cool side story. Get away from the world ending plots and make a smaller scale story. That could be fun.

I am with you that I would totally play the game and I bet it would be great. I am also looking for some developer to do anything new with RTS games and 4X games. I am so tired of the stale conventions that seem to dominate that space. Especially the design decision to have everyone start from zero and building up. It is such a limiting design decision and I just want it to no longer be the default for both of those types of games.

Blizzard sees the writing on the wall for the RTS genre and won't devote their energy and money on a genre that is long retired or has been barely limping by for years.

here i am publically flaming comeh's product and he isn't even trying to refute me xd

I mean, I think the Blizzard devs all sort of know how their IP would sell - I've read bits of an interview by Rhykker talking about if/when Diablo 4 could be a thing, and the response was that it probably would be. Now, what sort of game it would be, and the types of features aren't understood, but that IP would sell well enough to justify making it.
I think WC4 would be similar, where a game called that could exist at some point, but we'll have to wait on what sorts of decisions they make. It's the same story with Age of Empires 4, probably.

I feel like you should ask Comeh to be your personal tech support for his company's products.
"Comeh what's an error 0x43413CD?"

They're probably working on a WC3 remaster at the moment anyway
|
Yeah, I see le ToD post his games on YouTube from the WC3 PTR. Should be exciting times for fans. They're just changing technical stuff, no?
|
Don't forget to add the cyanide in your WC4 flavor aid. I don't think anything could get me excited for a Blizzard product in 2018.

microtransaction based single and multiplayer, dotaplusplus but actually p2w, people can pay so the game plays itself for them to different degrees everybody gets the game they want and don't have to play against each other, tryhards get to tryhard, whales get to throw away money
RTS solved
e. I also have another idea, communist economy:
everybody starts with tons of resources and defences but then the income goes away and all you have are scrap metal, jobless workers and other bums

Or where you start off having a base and slowly lose bits and pieces until you have nothing left?

Yeah sure, turning buildings and technologies to scrap mad max style. You could even have diplomacy element with generals and oligarchs who take control of stuff, so you are still kind of forced to go down a tech path or something dank.
e. basically every game is a starcraft base race except with bunker based economy on everything

Haro wants me to inform the thread that it was distinctly not him who complained regarding censoring surrounding the term "fangay"
I believe this is in response to the following accusation:

What makes you think spicy_curry is a weeb? Or is this just a callback to your previous post?

I bet Spicy_Curry knows way more fujoshi than he thinks he does. I think that's kinda true of all of us though.

There's a humble bundle out that's encompassing lots of (all?) endless space 1 at tier 1&2 and endless space 2 at tier 3. As well as some mouse with a shovel game

Endless legend is included in tier 2. I considered it to be part of endless space instead of a separate game.
