If you are comparing bo3 groups with bo1 swiss maybe, but that's dumb. For some reason people accept one but not the other somehow.

I found the number 1901 on the inside of my piano recently, and thought to do a bit of a hunt to see what it meant - production number, or year of manufacturing.
It's a Lachner piano, which as far as I know is an exclusively Canadian brand. And it's not active anymore. Look around online, and had people say it was from about 1900-1910. I wouldn't normally just go with what people on the internet say about things, but it wasn't clear I could find any information outside some documents by Bell, the parent company at the time.
I also called someone to tune my piano for me, since it both hasn't been tuned in about 7 years, and because one of the notes isn't responding the way it used to. The lady on the phone said they would repair the instrument if it's worth it, but that there's a chance it just wouldn't be worth trying to maintain. Someone else online (I know, I know) said it could cost upwards of $8k to rebuild one. I'm not that attached, as it turns out, so I think I will just look into getting an electric keyboard. That way I can play whenever the hell I feel like it instead of just when everyone is awake, since the audio output can be forced into headphones.
Gonna go to a music store on the way home from work and see how their selection looks for digital pianos (which are more portable from what I've been told).

Wait. You work.i thought you're a grad student?!
|
I call it "work" to keep it simple. My day is some mixture of attending classes (last course until I"m done those requirements), reading papers, writing the thesis, conducting experiments, and seeing if my students need anything.
It's not a strict 9-5 but my supervisor likes me to be available, but doesn't want me pouring all my hours into research as he doesn't want me burning out.
I think I'll just call it "campus" from now on instead of work.

did any of your students call you at one point sensei ITH?

None of them have referred to me as that, or senpai.

Not sure if I'm a genius or moron for scheduling a 6 am flight and needing to be there at 4 am, so it's almost pointless to sleep tonight.

Depends how long the flight is and whether or not you can sleep on planes

depends on what time it is in your destination I typically start adjusting my sleep pattern as soon as I get seated in the plane, and I set an alarm for the time that I would be regularly waking up at my destination I should mention that regular turbulence and takeoffas/landings don't really bother me so it's easier for me

I don't think i know anybody who couldn't sleep on planes even my first time i still dozed off despite being ridiculously nervous(scared shitless about dying on air even though i had a higher chance dying on the road lol)

Yes. It's been very good so far. Not as good as the peaks of campaign 1, but I see a lot of potential. The last two episodes have been very good with everyone settling in to their characters. They are really voice acting this time around. Level 3 is a little boring and I think they are getting a little bit "roll happy" - Matt making them roll too often and them "I want to roll X" a little too frequently imo. Other than that it's a lot of fun.
I'm sad that Ashley has to work so much on Blindspot (how much could they possibly be shooting for such a bad TV show where she is a side character? Fuck me). It would be nice if she could play from level 1/3 with the group full time. She is a bad "gamer" but a great role player most of the time.

I've noticed as well that matt has been too lenient on them although they uncharacteristically kept dropping like flies on alot of fights so that's probably that why he's allowing herolls or redoing of set of actions.
The good thing though is that they've done less tabletopping in the new campaign compared to the old one leading to really funny set of decisions at times.
On the first episode Ashley was actually doing a good RP for a brute kind of character but too bad she has that tv show(i was actually wondering why she was missing from the first few episodes). They need more strong arms character not just grog. So far Marisha's new character fits her rp'ing well. Also that cool thing that Liam does about detailing how his character casts spells don't think i've seen that from other rp'ers before.
There was one fan theory about Jester(laura's character) that fans posted which turned out to be incredibly accurate just based on her voice and her relationship with her mother lmao

roshan really should remove runes there is a dd almost everytime and he just explodes

maybe a simple condition like DD's only spawn if roshan is dead should do the trick without ruining the rune spot
