I actually can barely play morrowind anymore, I've been spoiled by too many hand-holdy games T_T
although I don't play much singleplayer anything anymore so it doesn't matter too much I guess.

the hate is silly and honestly I think that Oblivion is fine and Skyrim is pretty good.

That being said a mod like that would be really difficult because Morrowind was designed to be super freeform/figure shit out yourself from reading your journal while Oblivion was designed to be much more straightforward/linear.

like I'd guess that Oblivion wouldn't be very playable or at least very fun if you removed all of the builtin hinting/go this way arrow/whatever.

the free form, sand-boxy feel of morrowind while incredible in it's own right, can't make up for the dated system. I haven't seen any mods that do much other than overhaul the graphics. I'll never forget watching Targe try to stream it and fighting a rat with a 1h sword, 80 wild swings later, SUCCESS.
