derp... i should really change that to my name so if i got a drop in middle of TI2 Grand final.... OH BABY =))
anyway:
to sum up, Chuan said chinese scene is enjoying dota2 and most likely wont have problem switching over. He also mentioned that DotA2 allows less mistakes therefore team has to try very best to win. He think western meta game is full of QQQ and teams need to man the fuck up.
Maelk is regretting some of the mistakes EG made to make themselves looked like complete idiots, especially losing to AL. Interestingly he is ranking LGD higher than iG atm. Personally i disagree but there must be some truth into this.
been reposted forever (as it is really old) but this is why they called him indigo in the video

My friend persuaded me to play a game of LoL. As someone who wanted surrender quite badly when I switched over: by God, do not let the surrender button see the light of day. Someone can be dominating completely, but then 1 person has a bad start and just spams out surrender and gives up, feeding them into oblivion. Made standard dota2 pubs look mannered!
Yes, it's so much more fun to sit in the fountain and wait while the other team farms the jungle and waits 9 minutes for the next rosh despite being up 90k gold/xp.

Iunno about you, but i find it even more fun to come from behind. Even when we are so behind there is always a chance that the opponent might do something stupid and throw. :D
That's better than the alternative. Would you like people to purposefully (or close enough with huge dives) feed the enemy into oblivion if they have a bad start? How many games have you carried a lane that goes like 2-5 early on? Now imagine all of those are extremely depressing losses. I used to think surrender was a great feature, but it's just pure toxin. 99% of the time pubs will at least keep trying to win when they are down in DotA.
man... the image of LoH runing navi game vs orange will never get out of my head... i havent been able to read games so well but that game i have seen that game before...
I played LoL and let me tell you, the possibility for surrender ruins the game. Having a surrender option turns every game into a battle between the guys who do and don't want to surrender. Very few people simply abstain.
If you notice, every match of any moba, no matter how hard youre losing the dude on your team doing the best thinks its still possible to win, and when you're doing well the one guy feeding thinks that you're going to lose. In dota, that doesn't matter so much because you have to play until the end. But in LoL, the one guy on your team who is doing bad will often try to subtly ruin teamfights, maybe throw their moves out late or not use one of them, in order to try to get his team to surrender faster.
I'm honestly not worried about it because if icefrog implemented it, everyone would immediately understand why it's a bad idea and demand that he change it back.
