Wait they got offered money to go to LoL? That's kind of funny because Tofuboi and Chawy actually did switch over to playing LoL.

In this past month, Zenith has also been labeled as money-grubbers and described as greedy. To someone who knows the players well, I feel that these remarks are more sad than offensive. More worthy of a facepalm than an angst-filled retort. Prior to forming Zenith, players like hyhy and iceiceice were approached by an organization (that I will not name) to play competitive League of Legends for a monthly salary that exceeds a fresh Singaporean graduate’s starting pay. An offer like this was unprecedented in the history of e-sports in Singapore. Yet the players chose to turn down these offers, because their interests lie with DotA 2 and not League of Legends. http://teamzenith.wordpress.com/2012/08/20/the-great-zenith-expose/

I mean, the fact that Chawy and Tofu are on a professional League team together right now lends significant credence to the possibility that the other Scythe/MYM members were approached as well.

I am sure I will get some flack for what I am about to say but it is just how I feel... this would not surprise me and this it what worries me so much about league as a whole. It just feels like they are trying to throw money at everything (such as exclusivity) and it is starting to make me sick. Hypothetically, if it were true that they were approached and turned them down, I give them props. Even if some did join because money was thrown at them, I would be ok with them accepting. It is the fact that it feels like a company trying to buy the fame, the players, etc. annoys me. Alright, I am done with my little rant :-) I wont go so far as to say that it really did happen, but it would not surprise me. On the up side of all this, it just makes me happier and appreciate DotA 2 all the more!

Is there even enough players in NA to form another full team without dismantling one of the current ones? sneyking said on his stream that fnatic wanted them, and drop their current EU-Roster, but they didn't come to an agreement
