It doesn't seem like the staff here do anything other than write articles. I remember back in the dota-allstars forums they would do stuff like host small staff vs. users cups. So much legendary content lost, such a shame.
It wouldn't be anything fancy since the staff already play with the users all the time?
Well, if you guys are concerned about the quality of the forums, doing something should be better than nothing. I mean the articles are OK, but clearly not what anyone cares about, they get like 20-100 replies and then get buried into obscurity.
So LD would have to offer different type of content that their users actually want/respond too or just accept the fact we use this forum to bullshit about random stuff and have a nice time.

i just don't think that enough people are visiting and posting on the site. the reason i say that is because this article was posted 4 days ago and only today it was posted on reddit.
comparatively, articles posted on TL.net were posted to r/starcraft within hours.
i could be wrong, but thats gotta be indicative of the number of active users in some way shape or form

Staff + users stacking together is a bit different than staff vs. users I think. It was just an example.
Dota-Sllstars also had less moderated subforum where people discussed random stuff. Most of the posts in this thread belong in something like that.
I don't think it's that there's not enough traffic to the site, but just that most of the traffic are lurkers and not people that contribute content. Most people probably visit the site just to read the neat articles.
i guess i see the point though, this thread really does sorta take over the position of others at time, so it should be more for general bullshit than the news/strat stuff thats sometimes talked about

does it really matter?
Like, i don't think it really matters
to me, it doesnt matter.
someone made a comment, and i made an observation.
agree with torte though, i guarantee that they have something in the works. TL is very committed, I don't forsee them leaving this site high and dry

To do the they need to be able to get 5 staff members on at the same time. From my experience this process is as difficult as pulling teeth.
Also we used to have pretty active inhouses, but the level of skill got too far apart and a lot of the regulars stopped playing.
