You don't have to do any of that. She's a natural lane dominator and it's nearly impossible to actually shut her out of a lane if she plays right. The second she hits 3/4 she takes over the lane entirely and starts to exert real pressure on the lane. If you ward the pull then the supports have a decision to make. Either they let you get to 3 easily or they deward the camp since they won't have the gold to do both.
Add to that the fact that she is a natural 'deathball' hero in the amount of space she eats up from the enemy team and if you take the T1 and T2 safe lane early on you can turn it into 20 minute rax. That's pretty much the very definition of the game right now.
Granted things can obviously change in the next patch, but to say that she won't be picked at all is a bit presumptuous. She was picked by Liquid as a niche pick occasionally even at her absolute worst (right before the web rework) and she has only gotten better since then. I don't think she'll be top pick or ban, but she's good. Very good if given the right hands.

Sentries hardly shut Broodmother out of lane unless she chose awful starting items or overextends horrendously. At best they make the lane "not unwinnable", and at worst they do nothing.

Ah it's nice to see someone else remembers those games. I think they picked her with CK+Wisp. Basically Broodmother's pressure on the enemy safelane would guarantee that the CK+Wisp would not get trilaned, which was the main counter to those picks. In the midgame, Brood would take over the enemy jungle while pressuring the safelane towers. If the opponent would commit a few heroes to gank her, CK and Wisp would Relocate to turn the gank around or they would profit from freefarm while taking a tower. And obviously, pressuring the CK+Wisp meant Broodmama would take their towers.

Brood's probably in the same spot as earth spirit - it needs a jerax to show how it can be played, because I think noone ever plays it correctly in pubs to the point where everyone assumes its an awful hero.
Really though, I do think it's an awful hero. Even "Successful" broodmamas never seem to break high ground, and unless some hapless insect wanders into their web a bunch of times in a row, they never get a real opportunity to kill anyone or do anything. It punishes exceptionally bad play because an ignored broodmother can get terrifying, but at decent levels of play I don't see it being that successful.
And it feels like there are quite a few heroes that can just stand up solo to what she offers, such as tide/omni/centaur/weaver /razor etc... which is bad for a hero that's probably only gonna be in one lane all game.
Though at least it isn't old nonpathing broodmother, that shit was so annoying.
