These are all previews of cosmetic items, on diferent development stages. No. It'll be similar to TF2 - you'll get random drops at the end of games. They'll also have "crates," which you can unlock with keys and have a change to get Strange or Unusual items. Strange items will have certain attributes, for example: # of Kills, Wins, Treants created, Creep Kills, Denies, Omnislash jumps, etc. Unusual items will be the same as normal items, but with an aura or visual effect added, like fire or smoke. Battle Points (formerly XP) will increase drop frequency as you level up. ALL of the items are 100% cosmetic, and change NOTHING about the gameplay, so don't worry about that. They'll obviously have the Store there for people to buy items instead of waiting for drops or trading, but you're in no way obligated to buy items to receive them, you can trade TF2 items for them, trade Steam games for them, or just play the game and get random drops. ^_^ EDIT: Forgot to mention that there will be community models too, as they're integrating the Steam Workshop into Dota 2, letting community members create items and have them added into the game gradually as Valve sees fit. Similar to TF2. | ||
