So I stand by my point that they do their best work in the losers bracket. What "best work" means is entirely up to you. Jesus christ. I'll agree with Cecek that (without checking) they do appear to do worse in group stages than in playoffs.

iG played Na'Vi twice. They destroyed Na'Vi the first series. It was not close. For other teams this wrecks your mentality. For Na'Vi they came back and 2-1'd iG. iG is now playing bad because they thought they lost to a weak ass team that they thought they were going to stomp based on what happened on Day 1. That's how you mind fuck your opponent.

I mean I have an Empire logo on my profile but it's not like I have the same sort of mindless fanaticism about them that you have with Na'Vi. In fact I wouldn't even say that I'm an Empire fan. I just had to change my logo as my personal rebellion against VP. If anything I am more critical of Empire than anyone on TL. I was saying they shouldn't get a TI invite before the SL finals because they have no concrete results while everyone else were saying they were a shoe-in.

And I don't know, in Dota I've never been really diehard about teams that I will defend what they do wrong. The teams I'm a fan of I'm more critical about than the ones I don't like. While in other games/sports I used to defend Lyoto's shitty karate style, or Axslav's shitty wc3 micro. I don't know why I don't in Dota. Maybe I just haven't found the right team.

I build bottle -> arc boots -> mek -> blink -> euls/bloodstone/necro 3 -> boots of travel. He's a pretty fucking good hero right now, once you get used to him. You can snowball enemy creeps as well. You can use it like Wisp and escape like he tethers a creep, but it's like better because no one knows who you're snowballing but you. You just gotta be in tune with your teammates. ~4k mmr fyi

Yankees and Redsox fans don't really hate eachother, we just make fun of eachother because it makes the game more fun. Everyone in Esports is so fuck serious. Sigh. "normal" fans seem to focus heavily on the team they follow for geographic/bandwagoning reasons. With esports, fans seem to follow the scene of their game of choice. Personally, I'm interested in dota because I am a long-time player. I watch pro matches because they push the game to the limit. Most of the dota games played around the world involve incoherent picks and 2-1-2 lanes. High MMR has better coordination, tactics, and strategy but it is still fundamentally different from a stable team of 5 playing CM. I will never play at that level, but I enjoy watching teams play the best dota they can.
