Aside from DreamyU(who was a pretty known pubstar), they've been around for ages. Under RisingStars tag, the old team at least.
I know Air and InJuly are really old players, not sure about the other two but Air's always been a really skilled player. Probably known as the best chinese weaver in dota1/early dota2. InJuly is top3 offlaner for sure in china, his play is impeccable.
It's nice to see DT play some new strats, for a while they only played something like super on chen, DS for InJuly and like razor for Air, lol.

Well haven't they been kind of meh in the other leagues. They have solid players though.

I don't think a few series mean a lot. Would you claim tier 1 play when CIS had their month of ownage? (they didnt beat DK but still)
Let's see what happens before jumping on the bandwagon, but do consider that the core of the current DT lineup has always been legit, capable of beating the best chinese teams.

They got Top 3 in that last Chinese league right? What was that? Where CIS became known for WK and Sniper picks? Anyway DT was always a really good team.

That 10K post approaching for Emulator, will he pull a Yango? Place your bets.

The first 10k is always the coolest!

Hey does anyone remember a VOD of just really high MMR Chinese players? (I think it was right around when Ranked first dropped). Had like ZSMJ, Xiao8, CTY, Faith and Hao and others...
Edit: Nevermind my search prevailed, + Show Spoiler [Youtube] +

Too bad this ticket has been awful.

I love the concept of the tournament ticket system but I never end up using it and just watch twitch streams lol so I haven't bought a ticket in quite a while

But yeah i primarily watch on twitch too.
I don't buy too many tickets anymore either though, unless there's a crazy cool looking item bundled with it. I have bought all compendiums released so far

I remember when some people expressed the concern of tickets cannabilising stream viewers, Might still hold true but I am just lazy and want to open a stream with 2 buttons

A ticket holder is worth dozens on stream watching over the entire tournament.
Considering the ad block rate, probably hundreds.
And you could probably even sell that to sponsors in some weird way saying that they're more engaged because they spend money with the brand.

Ya its prolly more worth if they buy a ticket iirc people were worried that because its ingame they don't see the sponsor overlays etcetera.
|
They usually manage to splash sponsors on the ticket image if nothing else lol.

Or else some way for in-game spectators to watch the between-game stuff for sponsor-whoring etc since atm following a tournament exclusively from in-game is AWFUL. You have no idea when games start, you just sit there staring at a screen waiting for a button to appear to watch the game lol.

Put sponsor logos on the items. Then the person who buys it looks at your logo and even advertises in game to nine other people while they play.
