I was under the impression that the 4 stack and groups in general have their mmr inflated for being in a group so perhaps the +1 is generally higher mmr than what the 4 stack is used to.

I played with a two-stack last night that went Lycan jungle and PA bottom. It ended with everyone, including the guy he was stacking with, muting PA, PA ragequitting and then the most fun 4v5 I've ever had.

They should have just left 4 stacks in and added solo queue only option, that way people can choose if they want to play with 4 stacks or not.
