In my personal opinion, things get really easier when you start running into try hard mmr: people actually counter lycan, phoenix, ember pretty well ![]()

If you want to win its best to pick a hero+strat that doesnt make your game deciding impact dependant of other individuals. GG volvo ![]()

GG volvo ![]() You keep saying this but there are so many things that has proven you wrong but whatever.. I have pretty high winrate with solo queue wisp and if ANY hero is dependant on teammates it would be wisp wouldn't it? Literally never understood the attitude of "Best way to win in a team game is to not play as a team."

Literally never understood the attitude of "Best way to win in a team game is to not play as a team." I don't know how you can win in solo queue consistently as Wisp, I could see at high MMR it could be alright though. Playing as a team is fine for a 50-60% win rate on average but Lycan can do better than that for a while. If you're 3.5k MMR and want to get to 4.5k it might take you 50 games less playing Lycan than other heroes. There are games where your team is going to mess up and lose a big fight or something like that which makes it so you can no longer win team fights. Or a game comes down to your pub initiation which might mess up and you lose. Lycan just eliminates those games for the most part.

But it does allow peoples the cognitive dissonance that allows them to pin victory onto themselves and defeats on said teammates who failed to play essentially down a player for the first half of the game. Lycan is seen to increase MMR simply because people at lower levels can't win 5v4.

Sometimes I even wait until 10 minutes after the game start to pick the most optimal hero for the situation.

Literally never understood the attitude of "Best way to win in a team game is to not play as a team." I cant recall that i kept saying that, but i do think that being able to jungle or/and splitpush (or other solo qualities) has its advantages in the pubs. You can win a game solo as a splitpusher or a ganker even when your team is feeding and the jungle can give you a certainty of xp and/or (more) farm. Lycan has two of those qualities and can push harder solo then most enemy lineups combined. He has multiple ways to infuence the outcome of the game. Maybe you are in a higher skillbracket or you maybe stack when you play IO? I almost never see a wisp and if i do, that team loses 95% of the time. I play alot of support because i enjoy it, no matter the outcome of the game. But if you want to tryhard in soloqeue, i would not advice playing supportroles in mediocre or low mmr. The communicationlevel, gamesence and skilllevel of most players is so low, that it spoils most ways for a support to have a game deciding impact. Ofcourse in a higher skilled game this could be reversed, but in mediocre and low mmr ranges this certainly isnt the case.
