I'm trying to get that thing with the setups and how the patch could shake them. If I got it well, currently the most popular is 3-1-1 (with the lone offlaner in the long lane) and it plays out like this:

Trilane is the main carry (1st position) who typically scales from farm more than levels (in particular he doesn't necessarily hit early power spikes from level 6, 7, 10, etc.), with 2 supports (4th and 5th positions), while the mid laner is the 2nd position who scales more from levels and can roam well, he usually has a midgame oriented core and only really farm till then. Solo offlaner is the 3rd position, autonomous, sturdy at least early on, gets some farm early and bides his time.
The trilane 2v1 the offlaner and tries to deny him farm and exp, with the 3rd guy jungling a bit and pulling the nearby camps close to his wave. His creeps die, starving the offlaner, and they help him kill the neutrals, giving him some exp and gold. It helps lane control since this + deny helps keeping the creep waves closer to your side.
If it gets too hard for the offlaner (he may die, etc.) he'll go jungling himself after awhile, maybe helped by one of the supports who would go and stack som camps for him (if he didn't do it earlier himself).
Depending on the draft, the trilane's focus may be to let the carry farm as much and as safely as possible, or to play more aggressively to starve the offlaner more or even kill him.

With the changes introduced by the patch:

Ranged heroes don't get less exp from denies anymore, helping their viability as offlaners.
The jungle camps are weaker, and weak ones have specifically been swapped closest to the long lane so pulling kills less creeps, gives less gold and exp to the support doing it, and with the neutrals' exp change if the enemy offlaner is close enough he'll leech exp from these pulled camps. It's harder to shut down the ranged ones, harder (or dangerous) to make them starve as much as right now, and it's also less rewarding for the hero doing it.
It's simpler to stay in lane to get exp from enemy creeps, and to play more aggressive toward the enemy offlaner to try and kill him or force him back, if you want to starve him, instead of playing "passive" (eg. pulling). But it means less exp for the carry and the other support, especially for defensive trilanes.
So it makes double duo lanes more viable; a duo can't starve a solo as easily by pulling because it makes the lane a puller + 1v1, so not as safe farming and harder denying, but now pulling isn't the optimal strategy 100% of the time. A 3v2 is harder to bully, especially if the duo doesn't include a carry with a weak early game like the trilane (making the fights more even early), and pulling isn't as good an alternative anymore.
It may affect drafts because 2-1-2 makes "fighting" combos more effective and hard carries (like PL, Spectre, AM, FV) harder to babysit with an "easy" lane. Stuff like AA who's better at skirmishes than poke and babysitting for example, if I got your discussion about him right?

I'm trying to get the basic idea of the lane setups since the drafting and role/playstyle of most heroes (particularly supports) in lane still escapes me.

There is simply less XP on the map at low levels in this new patch due to the stack/pull and jungle changes.

As TI3 demonstrated, the most effective strategy THIS PATCH is to virtually run 3 solos with 2 supports team-jungling/stacking and zoning enemy heroes without leeching XP themselves. Level-dependant cores are simply very strong right now. The ability to run 3 level-dependant cores is going to be severely hampered. Heroes like Bounty Hunter, while able to solo the offlane BETTER now than before, are going to put too much of a constraint on their team by requiring a solo lane. Picking a bounty hunter now means that you MUST ROAM with at least 1 support, since that support can't find farm or XP in any lane.

While the nerf to junglers means that it will be harder to pick "bounty + a jungler" to avoid the "must roam" issue I just mentioned, I feel like there will be a bit of metagaming where "bounty + a jungler" loses to a strong dual offlane (depending on the gank power of the chosen jungler) and maybe a dual mid for 2-2-1.

Hopefully this leads to more diversity in drafting styles but I feel like it will just get figured out eventually.

There's less XP for your safe lane pulling supports but there's more XP for your solo offlane (much more). Hopefully there's a situational decision to be made around whether the off-laner should get solo XP at the expense of one of your supports or not which would lead to some games with solo offs and some games with dual offlanes.

bounty could just bother the enemy jungle instead of offlaning. if the enemy has a jungler run 2 in the offlane, solo safelane and mid, and have the bounty roam enemy jungle. atm a roaming support or bounty already puts alot of pressure on enemy jungles, with the exp change jungling will be so damn hard.

good thing most people dont roam enemy jungle even in very very high skill pubs games. cuz people are bad. but when it comes to competitive pro gaming this change kinda of breaks junglers lol.

The thing is you are getting half of the enemy jugnlers xp so while you kinda neuter them ur pretty neutered urself as well. Its not like the old times when you could just lasthit the big creep in a camp and get maybe 2/3 the XP. I'd say roaming BH as a "counterjungler" got nerfed not buffed. Although the "no flying courier" thing is actually quite big here.
