I haven't really explored OD offlane solo, so i'll try that too. We're kinda exploring Silencer mid as well, but there are some glaring problems with that too (easily ganked lol)

We're not really looking to lane OD/Silencer together, just like the base-stats team joke, that's pretty much the concept that OD's ult is better as silencer steals int too. Weird I know/
I didn't really consider the split push aspect, so I'm glad someone brought up to ban that. haha.
So assuming OD plays mid, if we're on first pick, we probably should ban out Wisp/Bat, unless the opposing team bans out one of them, this is already starting to look like its hanging on a LOT of If's. Banning Razor makes it obvious that you're picking OD. Perhaps this is better if you have second pick? Pick OD + 1 (perhaps Clock or DS for more teamfight control) which forces the opponent to either second pick razor/OD counter. I could probably then give 1 ban to an OD counter that I think is suitable based on the draft and just suck it up if they pick otherwise.

Anybody have any idea when the Halloween event is going to come out? I hope it's Diretide again, that mode was hella fun. Also I hope Valve doesn't patch Furion + Axe because that shit was fucking hilarious.

I liked Diretide, but yeah I got tired of it and just did normal MM after two days.
Although I really like during halloween and christmas when we get the new map designs. Halloween theme last year was really cool in game

Big wildkin is good for the extra armor and you can stack a camp a few times and farm with tornado

the troll healer is also pretty good, mana regen + the nonexistent cast animation lets you heal between every attack

Finally caught up again, just had to read ~300 posts in one go. Why this thread so fast moving?
Anyway, last patch prepared some halloween events, if you bothered to check cyborgmatts blog.
It will most likely revolve around towers and/or npcs, I am quite happy with that. If they rain items like in Diretide I will so mass games again.
How was greeviling fun? The mode was inherently imbalanced. You needed a good greevil(at least full colored). Getting workable spell combos with multicolored greevils required luck on an *out of game resource*.
Doesn't help that you also depended on luck for the ingame items and the camp spawn locations.
Felt more like playing the lottery than a game in which I had impact on my winning chances.
And for a lottery the item drops sucked ass.
You couldn't even act out if you were losing, like sell your shit and buy naked dagon.
I fear that makes me sounds like a twitchy fps skill elitist, when in reality I think Dota requires experience and judgement over twitchy reflexes. I am that kind of elitist.

Diretide at the end wasn't half bad after they nerfed all the twinks and stuff. If they put more thought into the "fun" mode before they release it this time it shouldn't be that bad.

The thing I remember about diretide is when the TLDB guys and Kupon3ss literally did nothing for like 2-3 days but try to beat the fastest rosh record. They theory crafted for hours, rofl

Last I remember the heal does have a cast animation which roots you in place each time, making it rather unwieldy.
