I think he's just using "gras" phonetically. But since in french most s at the end of words are silent, writing gras to phonetically mean "grass" confuzzled me when it makes sense to a native english speaker

What about mekansm?
I think the voice actors (and a lot of people) pronounce it as mekanism, but I'll be damned if I see an 'i' in that word. I've always called it "meh-kansm".
I've recently started calling it meka but I feel like that's the lazy way out

I always thought it was pronounced mekanism because I never looked too carefully at the word and because I always just said "mek" when talking about it.

Every time I hear it said like "Shu - kOO -chi", which is completely off. Every syllable should be "flat", with no real emphasis on any of the sounds...or at the very least with more emphasis on the "Shu".
