More dota related, what is the general state of offlaners nowadays? I watch competitive irregularly at best. My last understanding is "play aggressive trilane" or "abandon the offlane", with maybe Dark Seer/Batrider being sometimes put in a 1v3 scneario. dark seer, NP and bounty hunter are considered to be the best offlaners. I personally think that Batrider is laned off lane if the drafter predicts a solo safe lane. Batrider can still be zoned out even with firefly.
Id take timber or weaver over BH.

What about Windrunner?
Not played that much anymore, is she?

I can see your point about Timber, Weaver and Clockwerk.
Personally I think the "best" off laner would either be a toss up between DS or NP but honestly my only example of NP comes from bulldog.
I think BH is still better over the mentioned off laners because if you play him right, you can be completely obnoxious (again i'm taking the admiral bulldog example) by being able to reliably block camps with your prolonged invis more so than a weaver could (Clock blocking camps with rockets is not reliable). I think a team with a decent kill potential can zone actually zone a Timber from xp range and even after a Clock cogs his creep wave, the creep equilibrium will be pushed towards the defender's tower given they pulled.
In timber's case, the relatively short range on a low level timber chain can kill him. In weaver's case, what exactly does he do better than a Bounty Hunter as an off laner? I don't think a weaver can last against a good defensive tri that knows what they're doing honestly.

I mean yeah it's much harder than cog blocking (which is one button), but all you need to know about Rocket Blocking is the relative timing from where you are.
However, Rocket Blocking shouldn't be done at lvl 1, should be done at lvl 2 (which isn't bad if you cog block efficiently)

Because you want to skill cog at level 1.

im pretty sure lone druid can only be reliably offlaned on dire side, hes my most player hero, and the architecture of the radiant safelane makes it so its way easier to mess with and get creeps too you, alot harder to kill your bear, and really hard for it to get killed going for the level 1 creep pull. I guess if your up against a weak lane trilane or a line up with an enigma or something then it could workout, but i just cant offlane with LD against a really strong trilane when im on radiant.

Depends on your initial body block skill, you could let the range creep run ahead which gona result the lane to push to your side and grant you level 2. Thats not even counting the fact that there is a chance of the hard carry pushing the lane out with the intention of letting his support pull when they went safeguard and didnt see ward contest.

IdrA's mechanics are pretty good if it's the first few games he has played of DotA. His last hits are pretty good
