I had no clue who he was, so I did some reasearch on him. Formerly being a support player switching to the carry role, for the sake of his team. But for his team, that was not a downgrade. It even made them stronger than ever and as such a new legend was about to be born. What I didn't know back then, was that someone I don't even personally could actually have an influence on my life and more specially: Have a place in my heart.

Burning your soul.

The synergy with his teammates: top notch. His map awareness: unequaled. The right mix between fighting and farming. Always calm and collected with his overall play rarely, if ever, seeing any mistakes. Simply a class of his own. A player, that should write history. 10 consecutive titles speak for itself. A record, that's been kept until this very day.
But there also were dark times to come. After the great reshuffle an Allstar should be born under the sponsor Team DK. As it turned out it was not as succesfull as people thought it would be. Everyone else would have given up already, but not him. Never looking back, always thriving to be on top and having the thirst to succeed, he kept fighting.
In 2011 there were some old and some new faces, which should be making his teammates. With putting in his own heart, as well as the hearts of all his fans, including myself, he kept working hard to soon be at the top of the world again once again.

In BurNIng we trust.

New challengers approached in forms of new teams, while also seeking more challanges in a new game. With early struggles people began doubting him, but he proved them wrong. Overall strong play, yet not enough to truly reach the very top. Many ups and downs followed and at some point even old friends came to aid him, because things were not working out as planned. Unfortunately it was not enough, as he announced that he would retire soon.
I was in shock. A world without my favorite player. My idol...

My Hero

I skip to today, as it has come to this day. It's a dark day, not only for me, but for everyone who has followed him for all those years. This was supposedly his last tournament. We probably won't see him play again. I did not give up until the very last second, that he might still make it. Go out with a bang. Have a happy end for this fairlytale, but there was no such thing.
It was around 11.pm at my time, when I realized: this was probably his last game. I could barely contain myself and was close to crying.

I know he has said, it's not for certain, that he's going to retire and I still hope he's reconsidering it, but whatever his choice will be:
