Purge works in his place. I think he HAS to know about DoTA2 because hes played it for years. So the analysis possibility is there. His games are very boring to watch because he usually does some contrived easy mode pub with his friends. I am not saying hes bad or cheating but just that he isn't very inspiring like Day-9 is. I mean do people rarely ever get Purge shoutouts? Nobody really seems to care that much in his games. Doesn't even have to smurf like TB does.
Oh well this post ended up pretty bashy, I guess I enjoy Purge videos occasionally but yeah those are my criticisms.
If you have to compare purge to somebody in starcraft, imo, its DJWheat. Yeah they both play their respective games for a decent amount of time and have a decent knowledge about the general concepts but they are no where close to the pros level. DJWheat, however, has years of experience in broadcasting video games contents while purge is pretty much pulled an 'AskJoshy' and pump his money into dota2 when it first release and got himself efamous. Now there isnt anything wrong with you pimping yourself to get a better position. These people also work really fucking hard to maintain where they are but overall they are nowhere compared to a naturally talented player who retired to do broadcasting like Day9. That comparision is just unfair.
Teaching DotA is hard. Im pretty sure any pros would love to earn extra cash via coaching and guide like what happened in sc2 but there simple no short cut in this game. After almost a decade of increasing skill cap, the learning curve of DotA is now insanely high. So until some genius find out a good way to cut through, any basic educational material that people like Purge are producing are welcome by the increasing new player base.

Game has been unplayable for me since the last patch this afternoon. I have spikes every 1.5 seconds but my fps is great and I have like 70 ping. Anyone else having this problem?

I had that problem since whatever update that happened today. Not as bad, but still not usual.
