IRC chatter should remain in IRC - http://webchat.quakenet.org/?channels=tl.dota2

Posts that relate to topics with their own thread, such as in News, Tournaments or Strategy should go in those threads.

GLHF to you.
@Incze: The vids are on the channel I linked earlier. Definitely worth watching too, it's just that for a lot of new players the fact they're from the "old" Dota will be a problem.

Tis a little bit overwhelming, but I'm enjoying reading up and watching everything about it, I didn't expect to enjoy this game as much as I am already, and I've only just begun, the community in game is no where near as bad as I expected either, which is good.

I just realized something.
Valve wants to open the game before TI3.
TI3 compendium is near 2.4 million dollars.

If they advertise TI3 compendium well whilst opening the game to everyone it might have a huge spike of people buying it allowing us to hit 2.6 easily.

2.6 million prizepool, let's go. (Bought 4 compendiums myself)

2.6 million is pretty much guaranteed.
My only hope is that we don't reach 3.2 million

Then again, if it all of a sudden gets closer to it, it would be nice to see some more goals inbetween 2.6 I think it is, and 3.2.

To me reaching 2.6 would be amazing.
Dota fans have contributed more than a million dollars to their tournaments prizepool.
Dats a lot of money.

Am I the only one with infinite reports? I doubt so as I remember one showing he has 16, now I'm currently sitting around this number despite reporting one or more person every game -.-. More and more chatwheel!! I prefer the old flaming war where you could mute who ever you want, now people are too scared to talk or are muted... The new report system basically killed teamchat in dota.

This is actually the single most important part about the new system, its impossible to utter anything close to criticism unless you like beeing muted.

I didn't play many games since the mute system was introduced, but the ones i did play i flamed really hard, no consequences coz the flames were very silly and lighthearted (and on saturdays :>)

I must be the only one according to every post I've read on TL, but I will openly criticize my allies when they do really dumb things (such as wandering around enemy jungle as a CM when no allies are nearby) and I have never been muted once. The key point is no one is going to report you if you also say "gj qop" when she draws first blood, or "nice ult TH" when he gets 3+ with his ult. As long as you don't criticize nonstop, and you don't "criticize" by saying "CM you are a piece of trash, feed less plz", and instead say "CM, don't go wandering their jungle solo, you're squishy and have no escape", then no one is going to waste a report on you.

I think I have been flaming a lot recently and I still did not get muted. Maybe I just don't play that much (~10 games a week max usually) or maybe I'm just a bad flamer, dunno.

The insane part is that the compendium is 75% not prizepool. Yes, making it has been work, but we paid 3.2 million to increase the prizepool by 800.000 bucks.
I expect more than just 1 hero for reaching 3.2 million. It boggles my mind to think about what would be paid for that.

Well the international as an event still costs more than that most likely.

Although with the international chest series and whatever else they might do they'll probably turn a profit on the event as a whole not even counting the exposure and new players the event brings.
