![]() Definitely a piece of history right there. It's like catching a homerun baseball of a player who had a positive doping test right after the game and got suspended for life. :D

I got a pretty simple rule for it: 1: Does it look like the laning phase will last for about 15 mins (in other words... do they push fast or is mid/other lane failing?). 2: Can i get it at ~6 mins. If else... Just don't (normally).

I'm quite aware, that it sets you back if you purchase it at the wrong time. But I doubt most tl'ers are low-lvl mmr? Midas in the correct game can make all the difference.

(I'd say 6 min too - any later and you're playing a dangerous game) When will the teamfights really start? Does then enemy have crazy push? Do I benefit from a boost in farm in 15-mins time? Does the extra exp benefit me? Do I have another role to fulfill, such that midas will only hinder? It's a good item. Picking it up at a bad time should only happen if you don't really get the game,

I'd go for midas every game if i have it below 5min, because even if they have a push lineup you'll get some mid-tier core item at the right time even though you're going midas.

Also funny when people get it vs a nyx/bh/other sniping hero.

I get firstblood and another kill... So i get it at like 4.XX. I'm like "THIS IS GONNA BE SO FUCKING AWESOME." Then our courier dies while delivering it and my lane transforms into a constant warzone...

Maybe because it coincides so much with the jungle Naix phenomenon. Usually (90% of the time) it's like they make a statement that they're going to play singleplayer jungle dota for the first 30 minutes or so. Most of the time someone goes Midas and we win, we basically won 4v5 and would have won much easier if the Midas player went for a midgame build instead. Most of the time someone goes Midas and we lose, it's because we couldn't handle the pushing and 5 man fights from the other team because the Midas person is never there. I can't recall playing a game where someone went Midas and actually made a positive difference.
