That was pretty fun/broken while it lasted.
iirc the dev.dota thread he made was closed because devs didnt want people to know about it lol

I would say either him or prophet if you just want to not have to give a shit about your teammates.

I've played enough Dota 2 for the game to properly match me with players of similar capability, but whenever i play the original DotA, everyone's usually a lot worse than me. In those game it's pretty easy to snowball with a hero like Shadow Fiend. Treads/Bottle/Shadow Blade, roam around the map killing people. Other heroes that can go solomid and pubs don't know how to deal with would be Ursa, Drow Ranger, Templar Assassin, basically heroes that do retarded amounts of damage. Just get Shadow Blade, invisibility = invincibility. For heroes that can jungle, Lifestealer, Doom or Skeleton King work wonders. Skeleton King's just hilarious because if you snowball hard enough you'll pretty much be impossible to kill. And if i really want a guaranteed win i just pick Furion (Nature's Prophet). That hero allows you to win the game singlehandedly, because he punishes three kinds of typical low-skill pub behaviour very hard: 5 man mid face-off (TP to a sidelane and take a tower), farming alone in a lane (TP on top of them and kill them with your superior items), and not defending pushed in lanes (TP in to push them even further and take a rax, they're probably not even carrying TP scrolls).

It's sort of the same with mid, but if you win mid, you're also keeping down the opposing mid hero from developing, whereas you don't have that suppressive ability from the jungle. If you leave your teammates alone, they will very often lose, and if you gank, you have to hope the advantage you give them isn't for nothing.

TA is still a very powerful mid hero if you are strong with her.

Recognizing that pub DotA is a completely different game and that you should go in with a different mindset will save you a lot of frustration (since you stop worrying so much about your teammates), and win you a lot more games.

It's a game dictated by completely different rules because of how you're playing with no communication with 4 players you've never met before. On a different notion, I feel like the quality of pub games has gone up over time as I have continued playing dota. Whether this is due to higher skill brackets that Im in, more availability of VoDs, or maybe people just getting better, i'm not sure.

It's just MMR slowly working, thou the amount of high level people has definitely increased due to the tournament exposure being like thousand times higher than in dota1

If you are currently communication banned, any communication reports you receive in that time period do not contribute towards, nor result in additional bans. So ability abuse reports still factor in if your banned I gather.
