I feel sad for Fear =(
Doesn't exactly sound happy with anyone on EG other than Jeyo lol =/
He's too good a player to be languishing in an unmotivated team, I hope they sort themselves out already.

It feels like its going to be "come to the house in arizona or get kicked" or specifically to maelk "gf or dota". EG have shown time and time again when they actually play well they are a very strong team.
If you look at the synergy between fear and demon. If they were all in a teamhouse that could work across the whole team be amazing to see.
ti3 champion fear. couldnt contain the bias

He played the hell out of Naix before it was the in-thing Not really. Fear and Johnny Utah were THE Naix players about 4-5 years ago. FnC is only last year. Illidan (now on VP) was also known to play Naix 24/7 in pubs, I think.

jeyo as 1 and fear as 5 worked out much better than before. i think eg needs to find a new mid and put demon as 3 or 4.

I had just started dota back then. Old naix and old razor were the most noob friendly and "imba" heroes ever.
Fear made a point to convey how upset/unsatisfied he was in that interview. Pretty much directly called out Demon/Bdiz/Maelk, and rightly so. I'm guessing if Bdiz can't resolve his family issues soon and Maelk can't commit more, they're "getting the EG boot". Demon seems like he's finally trying, but he always says he'll do that, so who knows.

Enchantress was a pain in early dota.
I'm gonna mess around with skywrath mage as a support. I've seen many skywrath picks here lately in PH.

You guys think Skywrath has a spot in certain trilanes? Like, Sky + Luna + 1 or Sky + AA (Chilling Touch) + a carry with a snare/disable?

Skywrath is too level (and farm) dependant to work on a trilane imo.

I find his naix not as farmed as fear's most of the times and is used as a bomb with Demon's bat.

I dont know, i think he could be a decent solo mid just like how people ran rubick solo mid in TI2. Mostly depends on how the patch gona change him i guess. I can see his synergy with kotl quite scary.

He has no stuns, has an average slow (at best), and is less effective than silencer in a trilane. He's also, as said, really quite dependent on items and levels. I don't see him as a trilane hero.
Edit: He's also one of the squishiest heroes in the game, which is a big deal for a no stun support.

If left alone, he's one of the best solo vs solo laners in the game. In a bubble, he can beat almost anyone. His problem as a whole is that he's really, really, really vulnerable to any sort of ganking. He could be picked up occasionally if given enough room in the midlane (if the other team has really bad ganking supports, or a lineup that forces the supports to stay near the trilane.

I dono, I feel like all his skills are kind of meh, also I don't see the synergy with AA

SM mid I feel is too dependent on rolling the early-mid and snowballing from there because his farm ability is really bad. Even in a fairly decent game he will have a hard time going for Hex as opposed to other strong mid solos such as QoP and Puck (or even Rubick in TI2). On top of that he is really squishy. Putting him mid seems a bit of a high risk medium reward kind of deal (shoutout to Fear), because even if he does well I think other strong mids would contribute just as much if not more, on top of being able to farm gamebreaking items later on.
On the other hand, I can see him work out as a support. His slow has retarded range and is quite strong on level 1, silence is very strong as well, and his spells have good range in general. Not sure if it would be worth it over other top tier supports though.

Yeah, the hero is pretty much near trash can tier atm but we have a patch incoming. Remember how nyx changed post TI2? I think SM is a really fun to watch kinda hero and by no doubt icefrog would like to see him being used more. He is also bug free right now in DotA2 which is amazing if you want to tweak anything.

He zones decently (and he's fast) and he has a silence, but he's a lot less dangerous when his 6/11 are late. If he's solo the enemy lives in fear of his killing potential, not os much support.

His base armor and base damage are too low to zone decently. You could use bolt, but then you're kinda useless without the slow/silence (which are already weak abilities). Skywrath is also extremely item and level dependent and has no ability to flash farm which makes him a terrible support honestly.
His movespeed is well above average, but it isn't like you can roam with him.
