If he didn't have MKB either, get Halberd
Pretty much this was what I was thinking, though not sure if maim stacks with jinada. Either way it gives you a bit of survivability and disarm which is good provided you're not in the chrono.
A little bit of theorycrafting: what do you guys think about Batrider in an aggresive trilane? Napalm can provide a lot of control, especially with the turn rate slow it gives, and Bat does a ton of damage with firefly, especially if there's stun/slows from the other members of your trilane. Plus, he's got quite good base str and str gain, meaning that he's harder to nuke down than something like a weaver.
I do feel that he's one of the strongest solo laners out there, but if your team is running a magnus and clinkz or something, I think it would be better as a whole to have an aggro trilane bat rather than a safe lane 1v1.
Fucking Valve and their fucking patches. First game I play today the game decides to disconnect me and then says the server isn't available. I think it's my connection, but no, everything else is working perfectly.
Could we get a patch JUST ONCE that doesn't crash the game? Pretty please?

Imo no. Triple magic stick plus a massive number of nuke + lockdown simply are the strongest counter to batrider in the game. Plus he needs level for mid game gank and without level, he wont be able to afford to spam out napalm in lane. Its would be better if you run bat jungle than and offensive trilane.

Cannot agree more. Yes, lvl 1 a bat seems a great option but as soon as there is time to pick up magic sticks in the trilane, bat becomes useless. In mid, the awesomeness that is firefly outweighs the benefit of a fast magic stick. 150 instant hp+mana isn't enough when you are getting burned for that much damage in ~2-3 seconds (not to count bats auto attacks). A bit part of batriders laning capability is being able to stack 2-3 napalms then just run over someone. If you face even one stun then you can't do that at all and just get killed.
I usually don't take silence until it hits night time. One level isn't bad before level 8. And you should definitely roam at night time, just don't make it obvious and camp when they know you're there. Tp ganking is also extremely effective and you should always try to carry a tp during night time.
Since the passive is absolutely useless until night time, I usually either get silence level 2 (if I know I will need it in lane on short notice), or only level nuke and level silence/passive as per the situations requirements.

the point of getting the passive before nighttime is so that when nighttime comes you can immediately start ganking
