Doa is working for OGN though, so if anything we would get Khaldor not saying a word for the entire cast while someone else screams

The only korean team is mineski.kor, but even that teams mainly consist of people that don't even live in korea.
Low lvl Korean dota still more interesting than high lvl Korean LoL. I say it would take about a year for the Koreans to catch up quality wise with the rest of the world once they realize that what I said in my first sentence is true

Wasn't Misaya a big big deal in LoL? I think so... after all if you fail in DotA you can always be a top level pro in LoL. Just like that Korean dude who played DotA Chaos and with only 6 months of LoL training was able to defeat people playing that game for years and be in the LoL world Finals

I feel like the best idea would be a tournament like G-league instead of GSL-like league. Enough prize money to attract teams from all around the globe, show case some best Dota 2 teams can offer and hopefully get Koreans more interested about the game.
e. now that i think about it, just a weekend long tournament would be even better (less expenses for the teams). Host it around the time when a gaming expo or something similar is happening and boom.

Don't they have pretty much top tier/winning teams from Korea, China and EU/NA? So no country is really dominating the scene.

I agree with Grettin. First you show kids the game (can bring the big teams like Na'Vi, iG, some potential Korean team and whatnot) and if they like it then you can think of a GSL alike.
It would be great if they had access to the game already tho and by that I mean LAN-wise.

lol is reasonably balanced, of the around 8-10 world-class teams that could probably all take games from each other, 2 are from China and 1 from Taiwan.

Well Taiwan also counts as chineselike.

if you look at scene wise not really, the style is radically different and the Taiwanese teams play a lot more with the SEA leagues/server than they do with the Chinese ones

The more I think about it, the more it just feels like everything is building up to TI3. I get the feeling that when it happens either everything is going to turn on its head or it's going to be a bright flash before coming back to this.
I hope I'm wrong but to me it just feels like that already.

That's not really a euro league, tho euros play there.
Also korea dota leagues would probably fail, you need the spotlight to really succeed and league already has it from ogn. The one guy really capable of leading an all korean team with connections and major experience from the past is heen. He's currently in the military. Many korean americans like me and korean canadians along with native koreans await to see if he'll return for dota 2 to make a team.

Cyrillic is actually pretty easy to learn to read, it's just depth in it that's hard.
