The thing (my devils advocate) is that they won DH with a different captain. Having a different captain (particularly one who works as hard as EE, and who apparently made as many calls as him) is a pretty big deal, much bigger than swapping just a normal support for another. I suppose I should edit my question to:
Do you still consider DH and other successes of NTH when selecting them for TI3?

Did we consider TI1 and other successes of Na'Vi when selecting them for TI2?

Yes.
Rationally or not, teams are like franchises. We don't reset counters of championships by sports teams because they get new players, coaches, owners, rosters etc. Sure, the stats are mostly meaningless when major shifts happen but you have to include all successes of the 'team'.
I do laugh though when ESPN etc., report things like 'X team is 10-8 in the world series games' like wtf does that mean to me currently when the entire roster/coaching staff is different? 25 years ago X team had a Y record vs Z team. So now that X v Z are playing today, this might be relevent!! Dumb.

Yeah it was a different captain but still, the team spirit is there besides all the drama and whatnot and the rest of the team wants to keep it going.
Of course you have to consider DH. There were a lot of good teams there (Na'Vi, EG, Dignitas, Fnatic, Mouz, aL) and don't forget how few offline finals we have in DotA. It's not like we have NASL, MLG, DH, IEM to judge teams from you know...

Honestly even ignoring their pre-roster change results, NTH would probably still get the TI3 invite off of Loda+Akke star power. TI invites aren't all results-based.

How the fuck do you get out of MMR hell? Out of my last 20 games I've won maybe 3 because my team mates are either too new or too stupid to have any degree of skill. It's making me just want to not play dota again, ever.

Klonere the one guy I got along well with and talked to and stuff is on at the weirdest fucking times ever. Everyone else doesn't communicate or doesn't speak English.
Edit: Kupon I don't know if my carry is good enough to actually do that though. I've spent all this time trying to improve as a support but lolpubs makes it all useless.
