Probably. If you lose a game you will just be more stressed, also you should be taking the time to figure out your stress and solve it. Unless you're like me and don't care about win or loss, then go ahead and play.
i was in that game... thought we had won until I noticed the mono item builds on the person I swapped qop to... pretty boring and robotic game for the last 30 minutes due to that bs. Just waiting to lose. Definitely woulda won if I just kept that hero lol... unless he found ways to throw early on ds...

There is no right answer for this question really, to each his own. Personally, and i know a lot of people who are the same type, prefer to play dota to escape real life stress. I dont get stress playing video games almost ever. It is something im good at and enjoy doing, have fun doing it. (Dendi is this type according the the valve documentary?)
For others, DotA is about winning. They constantly taxing themselves for not doing the right thing in game and feel depress after losing games. It is not a bad thing compare to my type since these people often are more resolute, more willing to try to obtain what they want. The down side, however, is that you will have to treat the game you play as a part of your life: It could cheer you but hurt you at the same time, unlike an entertainment unit of which solely purpose is to make the user happy. If you ever feel upset at playing the game, then not playing would be a great way to go.
Hey what do you guys think about a late game deathprophet going butterfly? I swear this was discussed all that time ago in HoN but i can't remember. Obviously in dota2 going heavens might be better but i can see late game the attack speed might be extremely useful due to your high auto attacks.
