The nice thing about morph is that he has a lot of item flexibility. The traditional starting items include wraith + pooled regen, though I've seen tango salve + 3gg's and a circlet and that's decent. Traditional item build includes treads aquila into linkens EB, and then BKB or Manta (usually Manta) and finally a Skadi or Butterfly. Sometimes you can skip the Linkens, but the problem with that is you won't have 4 points into adaptive strike by the time you get it up and you are a lot more fragile (unless you only put 2 points into morph - I haven't really tried this before and it can work, but its risky / you need good vision to make good decisions). Linkens is nice due to the stats, and particularly for the mana regen Morph's will often decide (usually I have less success when doing this) to not get EB, and just grab an early manta style. This is really nice when you are given some room to split push, as you can take down towers ridiculously quickly and force tp's with this build. Also there are some other obvious advantages to this build (easier to build, just solid teamfighting), but I just personally have had less success with it *shrug* Chinese Morphs circa TI2 would grab a quick BKB and focus on teamfighting a little more or if they were expecting push style strategies. I'm iffy about this build, but it would prompt a skipping of linkens (more gold) and maybe you could get your next damage item up a little quicker, but it makes your mana problems a little more prevalent. I'm considering experimenting with going tranquils + soul ring and getting maybe drums or a fast yasha (and then EB). Could be interesting. | ||

On morph, definitely pick up some stealth and Power nodes - he needs to have the bonus speed and bonus damage witht he chance to crit. The stealth nodes really help with moving more mobility on the map and for navigating teamfights, and the bonus attack speed is really nice. Try to get some blue gems on Morph's weapon - the cold damage and slow is really nice, and synergizes with morphs mobility even more when caught out of position (synergizes well with the nodes you get too) | ||
