There is so much truth in there though. When I support I buy courier, wards, sentries if they enemy has a bh etc. I never take a last hit in the lane, only deny and harass.
If we win the game, then all is good, people say good teamwork etc etc. If we lose, regardless of why, someone will always question why I am a lower level and have mush worse items than anyone else.
Such a frustrating role to play.
(Having said that, I do have about 50-80 commends in each category from < 1k games, no commend swaps. etc).

I have a great experience from today actually... was solo Q'ing, randomed SK first, then my team proceeds to pick NS, DS, Void and Lifestealer... so obviously I end up buying so many wards / courier and everything. The NS starts bitching at me while we were losing but thankfully the other three members recognized why I was so underleveled / underfarmed. We ended up winning even though I wasn't able to afford a blink dagger until after the 30 minute mark.

Agreed. They'll blame the lost to your 1-7 record and with no items. But never commend and recognize you when you win. They don't realize that they got their 17-3 record because of the supports.
You're a bad player when you got a negative k:d ratio. That's what pubs is.

if you last pick, that means you're almost always forced to pick support because the first 4 picks are usually carries.

If I don't random then I easily prefer last-picking since it helps me pick a hero. I can't deal with all the options AP offers, in general. Its weird, but I hate blank canvases (picking with nothing on the table). Give me something to work with.

Go treads, not phase. With treads use the mana snake thing with blue treads and then swap to green before it returns and you get mana.
Linkens -> Manta -> Bfly -> Whatever situational item depending on game. Rapier is legit on her as well.
She's a teamfight carry, rapes in 5v5 fights with farm. She doesn't pick people off, so she kinda is dependant on a team playing around her (aka bad for pubs).

Get a Basi, it helps her early mana and damage output and gives some armor, it also allows your team to push a little if neccesary. No need to get the Aquila after. And don't forget a Magic Stick/Wand obviously.

And she's also a really really good shiva carrier because she benefits greatly from all the stats. And satanic adds a fuckton of surviveability to dusa and lets you get max hp mid-fight with the active.
And as mentioned, rapiers are legit on her because if your team aren't retarded and you play well, the enemies really can't take you out of the fight and you'll be killing their supports while shooting at their carries, it's quite funny.
But yea, she needs an insane amount of farm to reach that point. I think dusa was the embodiment of 4 protect 1.
Also a good trick: If you're against a hero with evasion, no need to buy MKB in teamfights, if your main attacks hit the main target your other arrows from split shot will also hit 100%, so you can circumvent needing truestrike by just attacking something without evasion.

as for the support debate: I think it was Sera that made the "how to play support" guide, but the gist of it was - if you want to win, you play support.
As for carries bitching about your playstyle - they would've bitched regardless. Some people bitch just for the hell of it, and the best thing to do is to ignore them/not take them seriously imo. I'll usually mute them if their whining is intensive since, honestly, people whining are the biggest thing that ruins my fun.

freezes as in the client just shuts down? or freezes like that happen at the start of every game when your hero enters the map?

I feel like there's no way of avoiding this "Must play a carry" mentality without queuing with friends or even people from communities such as this. It helps if you get things like a microphone and do some research on game mechanics and heroes first in order to make sure that you're not a burden for these people - otherwise you might not get invited back!
