He is a great last hitter and one of the best farmers, but he needs to learn / actually draft another carry hero to allow new strategies. He can only be put on solo vs solo so many times.

Black doesnt seem to have that much motivation for the game, when he isin shape he was carrying the mouz lineup to silvers but now you can see what happends when he isnt prepared. You're right about the solo v solo thing, he really thrives the best in that kind of lane.

Apparently that was just an outburst brought on by frustration that mouz was performing horribly, to which the community massively overreacted to. He isn't really switching.

I can't recall him playing that hero, which seems odd considering the number of times i've seen him solo on the safe lane with a clinkz. Edit: Yeah, I just remembered about Dota Academy - here's the list of heroes he has played (he does play LD) http://dota-academy.com/player/341/ Edit: #2 - I just looked up XBOCT's profile as well, since there was a lot of talk about his "undiverse" hero pool - http://dota-academy.com/player/9/ It seems like barring a few heroes (AM, CK, NS) - he seems to have a couple games on a lot of different heroes, which leads me to believe he can play a lot of them.

Playing it against X western C/D tier team does not count.

Playing it against X western C/D tier team does not count. Ah, I didn't look at the specific games - but I totally agree about Sylla. He's one of the best carries in the game - having one of the strongest laning phase, a very potent midgame that can be a solid basis around pushing, and still a very good lategame. His ability to control teamfights with roots is invaluable against melee carries like AM and Void (post-chrono), and makes him a great chaser after the fight has ended. He's also one of the few carries that you can feel very comfortable picking up in the first three picks, because he has some diversity in how he can be laned. This is one of the main reasons I've been drafting / playing him so much lately .-Sidenote: I really need to learn how to offlane this hero against more than one hero - its tough to know when its safe to pull creeps or not - I feel like my bear ends up taking too much damage...but if I dont, I feel like I am in too big of a threat to last hit on lane.

Sure, Mouz had it's moments, but against top teams the only way they won was when 4 people were clowning around and Black farmed unattended. Yes, he's had big GPM numbers, but how often do we see him farm from behind? How often do we see him farm while still being very active in fights? Rarely.Mouz slumping against notidehunter now. Black, arguably the best #1 in the western world is being the weak link, losing against a solo bounty hunter. His lack of diversity in hero pool is killing him. And I'm not saying that's because Black is bad, it's just that his team isn't on the level that we'd even know. I just have a hard time seeing how he's a cut above blow/airman/korok/aui/loda/anyone. Except for those games we see where he has 900gpm, but is having high gpm a good thing? It typically just means that you should have been able to finish this game already.
