Couldn't he work in trilanes where the whole melee support thing doesn't hurt quite as much, or is it really the whole melee thing keeping him from working? He needs levels. Trilanes = no levels.

I went on a terrible losing streak over time saw my games in the replay filter go from exclusively very high, to a mix of high/very high, to exclusively high, to a mix of normal/high. Afterwards I managed to go on a winning streak and under the replay filter my games crawled through normal/high, back to high/very high and finally back to only very high. Now I am on another losing streak and my games have dropped back either into high/very high. Your interpretation of that post that quotes Eric Tams from Valve is incorrect. Very high/High/Normal are all indicative of MMR. It is not a representation of GPM or any other statistic in the game. It does not list your individual MMR skill of course, which is what Eric is saying. It however does indicate the skill level average of the game, though not everyone in the game may be at your skill level, or whatever perception of Very High etc might mean, as there are multiple subtiers inside the 3 listed in the replay filter. This information is easily gathered by winning and losing games, observing said players in those games, over a period of 1000 games played for any individual who isn't fucking around in their games. Needless to say, if someone gets 800 GPM in a game it does not become a very high level game as someone else has mentioned in this thread. That is a misconception of itself. Furthermore Eric Tams has changed/improved the MMR on 6 several occasions since mentioning that post, which you can find in the Dota 2 Dev forums.

Its clear he understand how to balance stuff, though it may take him months to years considering Dota 2's history (unacceptable by todays standards).

To me, taking months/years is acceptable because of the way that newly introduced/remade heroes are not in the competitive CM mode, and because of the whole ban/pick drafting.

Didn't like it. oh and the first time I got a 3X multicast I just typed "MULTAILSDMAISCSTE" into allchat worth it

After the game settles, there will be fewer issues. Maybe they slowed down the hero releases with that in mind. 1 "broken" hero more each week would destroy the scene, then again I don't see so many possible Magnus-level heroes left.

TC, Medusa, any of the heroes introduced after Dota 2 went into beta, etc. There are plenty of ones left.

Tauren chieftan would like to have a word with you, he was strong, he got stronger with the ability to activate skills on him spirit. His aura is also one of the most op ever.

TC and Bristle will likely break the game upon re-release. the angle detection improvements will make bristle far more powerful in dota 2 than in war3.
