It was pretty disheartening even until today. So many guides/legendary achieves posted on that website during that period (iirc 2004-2008) and most of them basically disappeared in one night. And since alot people moved on from dota prior or during that period of time, not many people care enough to repost their work on PD. From what i see is that many old DA members didn't even register on PD to continue to contribute their work like they did on DA. Pendragon is the biggest douche I have ever known on internet. Not to mention that alot of members 'lost' their first dota home. It was obviously disastrous on Icefrog's end.

Pendragon makes me sick, he even banned a guy in LoL because he wanted to use the random feature that riot themselves implemented into ranked games ?_? If randoming is a banneable offense in ranked, THEN WHY IS IT ENABLED.

Pendragon is a piece of shit, who backstabbed his own roots. Could've just left with dignity like any other person at the time, but he wants it personal I guess.
Henceforth why all the oldschool Dota players hate him(or have a good reason to), and perhaps the hate spills over into LoL.

DA was the TL of Dota back then. How would you feel if TL was suddenly shut down? Sure, there are other forums and people can repost their guides, but it's not the same.

This is also ironic since Riot devs/forum moderators regularly trash dota on their messageboards. I'm happy Valve doesn't get down on their level.

You just can't understand. D-A was like the holy land back then. It had guides and a lot of posts from pro-players (Puppey was a regular, alongside Demon, Merlini, Noezg (aka God), Neki etc...), spanning years from the infancy to the more mature stages of the game. There was TON of content, and the average posts were much more higher in quality compared to shitfests like PD. You could read a lot of posts from still non-famous pros too, sharing lot of insights and heated discussion between them. On the suggestion forum a lot of the game was created, from the -RD mode to the design of Huskar and other things.
A lot of retired pros also wrote there, and you could find all the old teams lineups posting there. It was an era where all the dota world was united in a single forum, posting and sharing their thoughts, with all the best players contributing too. It was like TL for broodwar, but with Koreans too, including pros. An astral conjunction, closed out of greed and spite, spiced with venom.
Pendragon is just an ***.
