Wow, got invited. I will check it out tomorrow, never played moba-esque games. The funny thing is in that poll i had to do there was no option for never played so i chose minimal possible answers ;]
Will we ever get the loading screens back? They added so much flavor to the game. I mean, they're still there in wc3 dota, but dota2 only shows the dota logo on a black screen

In wc3 they showed for like 5 seconds and here it's like 10 so what's the difference? Also I'm alt tabbed 99% of loads so... Not saying they wouldn't be good but not a big deal really

Congratulations, good luck and have fun. Have patience and persevere. If you're a brand new Dota player it can be daunting so hang in there. Look up the guides and whatnot to learn about the game before you start. There's a lot to learn.
Try not to ragequit and hate Dota in under 3 hours.

With three wex, it will hatch into the third type of yellow greevil (the differences between the greevil levels could be the animations). I think three wex is going to be basically the same as other combinations that include three pieces of the same essence, aside from the colour, of course.

yes, if all you worry about is winning, ull never have fun in dota. my friend quit dota (having never played anything like it before, not even rts) after 50 or so games because he wasn't good at it... i tried to explain to him that ive played 1000 games and im only halfway decent at the damn game.
a tip to having fun even when you're team is getting smashed. try and get as little death as possible while participating in all the fights. i once went 8-0 on tide hunter while my team lost horribly. and as always gl hf!

Got into Dota 2 about two weeks ago, I have played two SC2 games since (mid-masters). I am fairly certain I am making a full transition but it's hard for my brain to accept that. It's hard to abandon two years of hard work, learning, and progress.
But when I sit down in the evenings after work, I just want to play Dota.

If they're allowing you to kite arbitrarily long without setting up stalemate conditions, it's pretty stupid. If that's the case, necrolyte or weaver to spoon them to death.

Necrolyte moves at 290ms base so he wouldn't be able to kite forever, and weaver would run outta mana pretty fast (also moves at 290ms when not in shuki).
