I'm just transitioning from Dota 1 these past few weeks, so far so good. My question is, with Rhasta (shadow shaman), I used to be able to trap heroes inside mass serpent wards. The only way out was to kill off the wards or blink away, etc... Was even done easier when enemy hero is hexed or when I use eul's cyclone first then plant wards while they are in air, so they fall in the middle of the wards. Is this not possible anymore?!

It should be possible still, I'm not a DotA 1 player so I'm not sure if it's harder to pull off with DotA 2 engine or something but it should indeed be possible unless if it was stealth changed very recently which is unlikely. Just saw it done in a pro game last week. And DotA 2 wiki suggests the following: "Scepter of Divinity is a commonly built item, used in conjunction with Mass Serpent Wards. Catching an enemy hero in a cyclone gives you ample time to place the Serpent Wards around the hero, trapping it. You can then further disable the hero by using Shackles. "

Did you receive an invite back when they gave them out for those who played DotA 2 for a certain amount? I have a main and smurf account (my smurf account I made from the invite I got on my main account). So, during this invite phase, my smurf account got an invite but my main did not. It is done in DotA 2, and it is arguably easier. If want to make certain you get the person, you can simply do multiple command so you do shackle and than ward. Or, you can have shackle doing off and when you want to, use ult and click on the person and it will trap them (most of the time, it is really easy, sometimes I fail). Of course, you can always go the hex route which is more difficult but it will allow for further timing so the person can't get out at all (hex followed by shackle).

What is that and how? So you mean shackle first and then ward on top of them? I guess that makes it better so that way, you just hex them while trapped so they cannot attack back, and also allow you to right click them... Hmm

Hmm You shift-queue the wards during the shackle duration, meaning that as soon as the shackle ends you cast the wards.

In Dota 2, hexing and just clicking the top area of the hexed unit usually worked.

There is currently a bug with eul's interaction with wards. It's not 100% reproducible and it's been noticed by the community. edit: http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?t=12568 source..

Every time I play DP she just feels hilariously easy, and her skills work quite well with the pretty AoE dominated metagame we have at the moment. She needs levels, so trilaning with her isn't so great. That leaves mid and hard lane, and her only early survival ability is her extra movement speed. Silence is ok, but if the enemies have a long range initiation and don't come clumped, it doesn't work. Mid she loses to TA. If you ban TA/bat, then she can do ok mid, although she still has inferior animation to the other high tier mids. However, she's good against siren, and maybe undying.
