Obviously I'm not saying the morph he laned vs was Sylar or that a morph NEEDS to be pooled regen to beat a qop. All I'm saying is that morph vs qop is a difficult lane for the qop, not the cakewalk it was made out to be by the posts I read.

Post patch nonpooled morph is rather weak on mid, but can still be troublesome for some heroes. But qop should be able to win handily just spamming shadowstrike and abusing her superior range

A good QoP should not lose 1v1 versus a Morphling. You can blink dodge waveform, and you drastically outrange him. He may get those last hits from the higher damage but as what was said, Shadow Strike will take it's toll. Plus you should have complete and utter rune control. *edit* Post patch.

Problem is most of the time you won't be getting mad farm+levels cause you're a Veno so you're stuck playing x or y builds. On the off chance you're middle to counter Templar Assassin, same thing applies. Poison sting or Gale leveled doesn't increase the damage interval speed, just more damage. So neither of that helps you to remove her Refraction shield asap. Worst case just rush Divine Rapier. I take 1 level in gale, then ward over sting and ulti everytime available, in that order, maxing gale last. The damage over time and the slow of sting are very annoying I feel.
I just ended up playing a veno solo mid as no one wanted to mid, first blooded the pudge, got a bottle and ganked top with an invis, then bottom with the next rune (haste), it was a fun game =) (not related with my build above tho) Got my level 3 ulti pretty fast, now that I think about it it was a perfect game to pick a scepter (ended up going manta and butterfly after arcane forcestaff and mek, with my level advantage an agha would have been even better perhaps)

Supports pooling regen for a hero means that he needs it badly enough/it makes a big enough difference to have 1 less set of wards for the team early game.

Veno can be very fun with certain line up but my favourite support has to be CM. She is the queen of laning and i love to play her as bitchy as possible to the point that in some of the games the whole oppo team wanted me to die so badly, they ignore the 4 heroes in front me and come right on me (obvious I die a horrible death but my team wipe them clean). Ya, i love my bitchy CM!!
thanks for throwing these links from time to time xD general lr thread seems really far from me since the forum expanded.

I'm not particularly interested in giving you the rundown. Suffice it to say, I know what I'm doing, and I think it's a boring skill.

I understand what you're saying about not pooling heroes regen unless they need it, but I see morph as a unique case in this situation as he benefits much more from being bale to build a full wraith when compared to other heroes. I think LGD recognized this, and felt the tradeoff between losing 90/100 gold on each support was worth securing Sylar the extra lane presence to further solidify the fact that he wins the lane 100%.

been playing with phantom lancer a bit more, and I find him funner to play now that I'm actually using doppleganger as more than an escape mechanism. Still right-click galore, but pretty fun
then again I used it mostly to troll - especially pudge. It was like a game of whack-a-mole where all the moles were fake :D

It gets really awkward sometimes. I hope you get to play a game like this sometimes, it's a good laugh when you are on the PL side

I think this is a bug, not so sure: If you are being targeted by Assasinate, you will be able to see a debuff on yourself. The debuff doesnt even work correctly bc it has a timer that doesnt take count of projectile travel time.

That should be working as intended. Projectile travel time is never accounted for so that is normal. The debuff should be a related to the channeling of Sniper and I don't think it is hidden like other debuffs like charge from spirit breaker.
