SK can influence the game even with minimal farm, and in the low skill bracket maxing sandstorm second is a good way of staying alive. Plus, with people picking mainly carries there, a stun is a godsend and a good ultimate can win you the game outright or at least put you very far ahead. Pudge is an easy hero once you learn the way the hook works. Just a couple of bot games with him will teach you 75% of what you need to know (note that I'm talking only about the hero, not general gameplay things like last hitting or juking etc.). Hooking is easy as long as you can predict where the enemy is going to be in the next 2 seconds, and low level pubbies are predictable: most of the time if they want to run away they click straight back to base; when they chase they often over extend a whole lot and you can easily turn around kill them once dismember cools down. Add a nice natural tankyness and the desire to get kills/kill the one that killed them a lot so they focus a 3/4 hp pudge instead of the squishy carry next to you that has half your max health. Heck, playing Pudge teaches you exactly why you need good map awareness, a thing which most of the players lack, even in the higher brackets.

Unless it's a viper and he gets first blood on the wisp/ursa that is trying to lvl 1 rosh Then you end up going against a viper with first blood gold and a level up on you Then you're a very sad pudge, as I just discovered ![]()

What are some champions that I should be taking a look at for starting? I played a single game as support Shadow Demon a month ago, but that didn't really appeal to me. Antimage & Morphling. Have fun ^^

Problem with Veno imo is that playing him isn't very fun. Why? Because the whole enemy team hates your guts. HATES. And your team thinks "meh, it's Veno, we don't need him" and lets you die every fight.
