I've heard very high isn't much better, maybe at the very top?
Asking goes a very long way.
Just asking nicely for people to pull or ward or not take all the farm works fairly well in whatever terrible mmr I'm in, I get the feeling most people are willing to if they're a support but try to get away with not doing it unless it's mentioned.
It seems that the plan where you just immediately go to calling them shit doesn't work nearly as often though.
At my skill level even asking lane partners to autoattack creep waves either gets no response or elicits a tirade of insults
Also Xboct is mostly likely the weakest link in the Na'Vi lineup, that said he is still pretty damn good obviously
But I do try to tell them. Very rarely it actually works. Best case they say nothing and continue as before, or they do that and I get a "fuck off" along with it.
Maybe people in Europe and US E are just assholes, who knows
I(Haike) was in MM with 1 friend(m2nub). He was testing the Shadowblade BH build. I wanted to try Alchemist. Our opponents were from the same clan, obviously on some form of communication skype or raidcall etc. My team was pwned so hard, we were prepared to give up. The kill score was like 30-5 or something. Then one of them decided to taunt us thinking they won.
"remember my name" he said. "noobs" he said.
That definitely gave us the kick to start playing with everything we've got.
Long story short, we defended with all we had, even lost both side lane barracks....but no! We didnt give up! Finally we had 1 single battle where we wiped them, and it was straight down the middle to throne.
YES! MY TEAM WON! hahaha. After a agonizing 1hour worth of game time, my team fking won! I cant believe it myself!
Morale of the story:-
Dont taunt people, especially before its really over(i define that as attacking the throne and its about to fall over) There's always a chance to win if we dont give up. Shadowblade Bounty Hunter is legit.(that BIG RED NUMBERS) Alchemist is really overpowered of a hero.
This is the comeback story (lost early/mid game badly, lost both side towers) that keeps me playing DOTA. I love this game
This doesn't really add up. You had twice their XPM, double their GPM, almost twice as many last hits and they in total had 11 kills and 35 deaths. It was a complete stomp on your side, not theirs
You might have linked the wrong game, because even the heroes are different. https://dotabuff.com/matches/48256394 links to you playing lifestealer and your friend pudge
Cogs can shock magic immune and invisible units. The damage/mana drain does not affect magic immune units, but does affect invisible units. Enemies that are knocked back are mini-stunned.
Also I thought it was standard as clock to generally always max flare first due to its global utility and usefulness in harassing/lasthitting his own lane.
as the lastest patch, rocket and cog basically deal same dmg unless you can hit the other guy with multiple cog if he is dumb. This change a lot bc now maxing cog+battery is actually a viable build as you can threaten the enemy laner to get close and trap for 5 seconds + battery or he dodge and lose mana+HP. if he is out of XP range you basicly getting free farm without pushing lane. I am still working out the best way to build cog but maxing rocket no longer the only viable build.
Yeah, losing that rapier (I assume TA built it then lost it since it was on the death prophet at the end) probably sealed their fate. But them building 2 S&Ys probably had something to do with it, too.

nope i do chalk up a loss when they say in english "what are you stupid and don't speak (whatever non-english language they speak)" when they are playing on a US server. I mean shit we're americans we barely know our OWN language.
EDIT: can anyone connect to steam or is it down? EDIT2: got it working.

Language doesn't equal race. I'm not down for QQing in the thread, but not being able to communicate in English on US servers has nothing to do with race. And actually, it could very well be spanish. I've played with more people from Peru/Chile/Mexico recently than Brazil (all spoke English though).
I find that a great deal of spanish/portuguese speakers who play on the US servers can also speak english although they are often not inclined too.
I have had more then one game where someone speaks portuguese or spanish all game and then at the very end starts talking to people in perfect english.
My first dota 2 nerdgasm , playing as Ogre Magi I see Naga.. i cast Fireblast DING DING DING DING cast x4 , then i cast Unrefined Fireblast ding ding ding cast x3 , lv 19 Naga died in 2 sec , was feeling so good :D
While at lower MMR levels a lack of proper babysitting may exist, it is also true at the top levels. Most people would rather gank around and push on the map than babysit you for 20 minutes. Don't blame your bracket because someone won't do so for you, it hardly changes at the other end.
Also this "context" stuff... lol. I think a certain somebody doesn't know the definition of things. It would be a lot more helpful to his cause to type properly or understand English.

Yeah. And especially with valve wonderful sounds design, they make awesome stuff sound godly
Reading up on the thread, but there was this awful argument with lots of personal attacks and heated emotions and shit. I get this crap in RL, I don´t need this here too.
Totally unrelated question. What is the most viable way to play sniper? He´s a shitty hero and I sometimes random him. His laning is quite excellent(solo mid at least), but when the lanes dissolve, towers get pushed, people rotate around the map etc., he suddenly feels absolute shit. He´s slow, has no escape, can´t even properly farm jungle with right click, so his dps is nowhere near enough for how vulnerable he is. I usually go passives, ulti when available and 1 point shrapnel somewhere early and then the rest of shrapnel 12-14.
I usually walk around a lot on my own(farming and looking for ganks) which seems to be complete suicide with sniper. I dislike repicking what I random when I random, but I feel I should to when I get sniper.
