The damage/mana drain does not affect magic immune units, but does affect invisible units.
Enemies that are knocked back are mini-stunned.
Also I thought it was standard as clock to generally always max flare first due to its global utility and usefulness in harassing/lasthitting his own lane.

I just want to know at what skill level I'll see decent support. It sucks as a carry to have to constantly stack your own ancients or the pull camp and fight with your vengeful spirit/veno lanemate for last hits because in his item guide he's built as a carry.
I've heard very high isn't much better, maybe at the very top?

You'll find a decent support when you play as the decent support. Outside of that never (or 0.1% of the time) unless you queue with one.

Ya, this +1, you do see some good chen or good warder (not those standard ward but for the critical moments) from time to time but ya, 0.1% chance. I am actually cooking a 'how to support' guide because of that (so i can fcking link it in game to save my energy on whining).

Yeah bottle first with random gold on zeus is pretty good. It's also INCREDIBLE if you're playing mid on weaver, you can harass the shit out of him with shukuchi and you're basically guaranteed to get runes unless the other team has people going to the rune spot every 2 minutes to deny you them.
But on most heroes the extra stats to allow you to convincingly win your lane is better.

Just asking nicely for people to pull or ward or not take all the farm works fairly well in whatever terrible mmr I'm in, I get the feeling most people are willing to if they're a support but try to get away with not doing it unless it's mentioned.
It seems that the plan where you just immediately go to calling them shit doesn't work nearly as often though.
