.(So not only is she basically a NE like in WC3 DotA but a bit Protoss too thanks to the hair style, similar to her lore in WC3 Dota. Double homage ftw.) I really like Valve's style of the WC3 Dota heroes (TA is one of my favorites). Shame Blizzard tried to sue Valve over Dota 2 name >.<.

On the other hand I often manage to pull the long lane close to my tower by denying very early and then tanking the creeps before they enter the range of my tower the time needed for my creeps to arrive. Well, there's no magic to it. It's easiest if you let the enemy wave get the momentum and then even it out once your wave is almost dead. Easiest if you let the enemy wave maintain two ranged creeps or let their catapult stay alive from wave to wave.

I don't see why this is hard at all. If you're hitting enemy creeps more than last hits, then you're probably pushing your lane (which you shouldn't do). If you're one of those players that kills the ranged creep first, don't do that, the ranged creep does more dps than all the melee creeps (maybe combined). If you want to pull back creeps while free farming, start hitting your allied creeps right when they get below half health. If your dps to enemy creeps > dps to allied creeps, you will push the wave.

I get a PMS, Wraith band +RoP(for Aq), RoP+RoR(for Tranq), or double RoP for both tranq and Aq I only get a QB pretty much when I jungled Lycan prepatch or on AM after Bfury, maybe against Furion. To bring up a question, thoughts on Sven postpatch?valid pick or CK still superior in every way? CK seems stronger midgame but when behind is really slow to farm with, Sven on the other hand can ''flashfarm'' with cleave.

I said: This was saying that because you can last hit earlier on the enemy creeps it gave you more time to last hit your own creeps for denies. increasing your ability to get denies and last hits simultaneously. Then yoshi said it didn't matter in real games and that qblade pushes lane I said the amount of pushing is laughable to the point it doesn't matter in ANY lane. then 4 people jumped on that comment out of context and then we get a clusterfuck of a thread from people not reading an entire discussion. please i just summarized it, everyone is arguing about shit they agree on please stop, move on. Bolded: he said it didnt matter and that you in the same sense could argue that QB pushes the lane. He never said it actually pushes the lane. Italic: You then say the QB pushing effect is neglible, and then proceed to talk about pushing in every specific lane. The way I interpreted it was: "QB doesn't push the lane, and even if it did pushing doesn't matter in any lane." So this mass confusion really stems from you misunderstanding yoshi and then proceed with arguments which are extremely superfluous in any interpretation but the on I made.

PMS is a good item to spend random gold on for melee agil heroes. Or bottle + 4 branches. QB is nice if you're expecting a melee vs melee lane. Or get wards, courier, upgrade courier, Or just save the extra gold if I can't think of anything useful to buy. Btw I soloqueued randomed my way from normal to high bracket in 150-200 games. Currently, my games are almost exclusively in high bracket, but I don't see how randoming is any worse in very high bracket. AP games in that bracket are still a crapshoot.

AP games in that bracket are still a crapshoot. God this is so fucking true. AP games in very high are just as bad, if not worse, than AP games in high. I have more of a headache trying to coordinate people in very high, becase somehow everyone wants to rush Skadi on Riki and Butterfly on Sniper. In the same game.

It just takes a little practice. You want to look at what creeps are there right now and basically determine if both sides have an equal army or not. Count the number of melees, the number of ranged, etc. Look at their life bars. Look at the minimap to see how soon your next creepwave will arrive. Then adjust it. You also should look at what the enemy is up to. If they're auto-attacking like crazy then you know you can autoattack their creeps a bit if you want to.

You also should look at what the enemy is up to. If they're auto-attacking like crazy then you know you can autoattack their creeps a bit if you want to. Ideally you want to wipe both sides of the creep wave out before the next wave arrives. If 1-2 enemy creeps are left before one side arrives, spend a little bit more effort last hitting. If 1-2 creeps of yours are still alive, deny more (attack your creeps when they hit 50% hp). It's easier when both creep waves arrive in dead center, but just make small adjustments for waves coming in at different times. Edit: On October 10 2012 22:55 Yoshi- wrote: So to get rid of that really weird QB argument, I was wondering how many possible 5v5 matches are possible in dota. I think it should be 110!/(5! *(110-5)!) * 105!/(5! *(105-5)!), not entirely sure though Sounds about right. Divide by 2 if radiant/dire side doesn't matter.
