Lifestealer has always been my pubstomp hero. Once I get a few items, oh man does the rape train leave and never stop. People just don't know how to deal with it, especially when you get like a Storm Spirit ^^

Overall is some nice pub games where he went really high, heard that he is going to stream for the next few days to test out the new heroes.

Um, he has a 40% win rate. The problem is in a pub, a bad ally will slow you down a lot. And he can't dominate the lane until he gets a handful of items, in which time the enemy team will dominate their lanes. Edit: he has the 3rd worst win rate, behind meepo and brood, the 10th worst kda ratio whatever that is, 8th worst in kills (everyone ahead of him is a healer, wisp, kotl, or enigma). Not concluding he has no chance of being competitive, but definitely not a pub hero.

SF's weakness still remains in his inability to survive ganks. And with smoke being in the game not-nerfed and most supports getting buffs (ward costs etc), i can't see him every coming back to solo mid. I can however see him becoming a stable solo offlane if the opponent is running an agressive trilane. I think I saw Navi using him, but with admiration as a solo bot while playing on the radiant side. But it was in combo with a naga siren, infact he can fill the role that Morphling filled for naga. A strong Agi based carry solo hero with a super strong midgame and excellent laning. Just without as many escapes.

Some of those changes were relating to Alchemist - specifically, three of his spells were buffed! As you may imagine, people are speculating about how this will change his winrates moving into the future. Thanks for your vigor in spouting statistics, but they're not completely relevant here! /smugteachervoice

Slightly better than 40% but still pretty poor. Not much speculation involved.

Lots of people playing alchemist, and lots of doing poorly.

Like for example it's 5 minutes into the game you should be level X. I know there are many variables but there should be some sort of average level.

He normally tries to get a pro player like synd etc to co-cast with him for that reason.

He may not be the most knowledgable caster but he is honest enough about it and he always has some of the best guests on his stream like synd and puppey.

StarCraft 2 has casters like this as well, they're "Shoutcasters". And he often has an analytical co-commentator joining him, so don't give up on him just yet, you might start liking him.
