Obviously Ice Path and Liquid fire are his strongest abilities but I was wondering if people took an early level of dual breath for the two slows and if they skip his ulti until 10 and 11. Ulti is super skippable, dual breath isn't imho. Take 1 lvl only of stun, max breath, then fire personally.

Add in a 0.3 secs of reflexes, and you deal 100 damage with a 2 sec stun. Leveling up Dual breath give u 80 more damage per level with marginal more mana cost. Leveling up the fire allow you to take towers so much more easily. With dual breath you need no setup and it's also easier to hit more than 1 hero. There are occasion when ulti on 6 is good, for example with clock/Enigma/Void/Naga on your team (especially clock), but in most cases maxing every other skill is better.

If you have no reliable stuns or no stuns/slows besides icepath on your team then skip macropyre til 10/11. Pushing lineup you probably want to max liquid fire with a point in icepath and maxing dual breath alternately (the macropyre 10/11 unless other stuns still holds true as to when to level it). Liquid fire is possibly the best non-ultimate tower killing spell (it scales a lot better than edict into the late game which is what it's tied with) and dual breath for creep clearing. In fact, it probably beats DK's ult level 1 form for tower-pushing. Just krob's ult (expulsion?) beats it. Macropyre does an insane amount of damage but if your team is lacking the utility to utilize it well then they probably need the utility of your other skills more than the damage. Taking the ult at 6 is for when you have a lineup that has heroes like Void, Treant, Sven, Enigma, Veno, etc. What are people's opinions on the new lothars? Sorry, shadowblade. 3000 gold for a +30 as/dmg even before taking the active into account is rather nice (it's practically a 30 agility item but with 4 less armor). The active lasts 12 seconds with an 18 second total CD. It's gone from an ok pub item on a few heroes to a really good pub item on those heroes and an ok pub item on almost anyone. With power treads and shadowblade a person has +60 attack speed, +30(8) damage for 4450 gold. edit: Armlet isn't a must-have on alchemist.

How is armlet a must on him? Realistically, Armlet is only all that good on non-Lifesteal carries in situations where the enemy has damage that's front-loaded enough for you to Armlet juke (because unless you can reliably juke, it's not superior to other item choices). Which means it's not a must on anyone who's not Lifestealer, Huskar, or Skeleton King.

New shadow blade isn't bad, but i still haven't got an hero where i like it on. It was good before on Kunkka, and still is. Could be decent on Sven for the same reasons it is on Kunkka, 70% is splashed, follow up with stun, if you had God strenght on then u rape. Still haven't played Sven after the patch. Maybe jugger? You can crit the backstab.

(Maybe I missed something and other people are doing this already) Or playing him as hard support going path/liquid fire with lvl 6 ult, so he needs absolutely no mana regen early? Probably not viable but under very special circumstances. Ever tried last hitting with jakiro? No way of soloing him lol

No way of soloing him lol His attack animation and damage aren't actually that bad (0.4 second frontswing with 50 average base damage). His piss poor attack range is probably the most prohibitive thing about soloing him (with all these 600 range solo mid heroes, hard to get anywhere with 400 range unless you've got something really good backing up your solo lane ability). That, and there's not a whole lot of need to get solo lane farm on him.
