Yeah it seems quite useful in the few games I've seen him in. He now couples way better with other gankers with the quick charge right off the bat and the lack of WARNING: YOU ARE BEING GANKED notifier. If you have heroes like TA, BH, Furion etc. it's quite effective just picking targets and going on them.

BH is especially good as Track gives bonus movement speed and not many heroes can survive the amount of burst the 2 of them can dish out. ^^

Its is quite interesting to me when you look at the barathum change that way. In a sense, Icefrog is removing game mechanics that is not newb friendly. If you could see a tiny indication on the screen that you are being ganked, you may as well make a giant indicator so new players dont have such a hard time playing/learning the game... OR remove the damn thing.

On the other hand, batrider napalm no longer put number on invi unit?

In my opinion, this change made it less newb friendly. Before, a good player would obviously see it coming while a newb wouldn't be paying attention to his buffs and was always caught off guard. It's one of the reasons why Bara was so good against bad players. But only against bad players. Now that the skill doesn't show for the defender, you need much better map awareness and ward placement to handle the charge, which is harder.

It changed nothing for newbs that didn't see it before, while making it harder for that intermediate level that could see it but are not at the point to handle it well in the current version.

I just tried for the first time Riki with Mask of madness/Basher. It's pretty effective. Ended the game with 31 kills,4 deaths and a rampage.

Game was fun.

well you are looking at it from the defender point of view, but from an attacker point of view it is extremely satisfying. Unlike games like sc2 or LoL, in DotA we counter imbalance by imbalance and i think this was one of those move that make icefrog such a good developer.

Yeah, Ice path is really good. It helps a lot in teamfights and chasing.

Just won the most retarded game I've ever played. We were facing a FULL INVENTORY AntiMage 60 mins in and he was really hard to kill ( especially because our skeletong king was doing no dmg ). We were 2 sets or rax down ( top and mid ) and somehow we managed to kill AM while he was solo pushing bot lane. We all pushed mid as 5 and won because he had no buyback.

...

So dumb, but I guess it was a mistake on AM part to solo push without having buyback ready.

After this patch, jakiro has the biggest winrate of all heroes.
Woah.
Jakiro is a pub-stomper.

Also, i like IceFrog's way of handling stuff, take a mechanic that seems completely broken on paper and tweak it until it works with the rest of the game. Makes for incredibly interesting heroes and good balance, IMHO.
From the Ghastly Eyrie I can see to the ends of the world, and from this vantage point I declare with utter certainty that this one is in the bag!

People need to stop saying that dota is balanced because all heroes are imbalanced. "Fight broken with broken" doesn't make any damn sense. And I know it's just a comic, but tons of people still say it.

Dota heroes are meant to be unique. So if you have a hero that's about movement, he has amazing movement, if you have one about burst, it has amazing burst. That doesn't mean it's 'broken' it just means they are specialists.

That's why I like the new treant, even though living armor may need to be tweaked, it does something completely unique. It makes your opponent have to finish off towers in one go otherwise they'll just be healed up. It's 'different'.

So I'm watching TNC vs orange and i note the weaver TPing in to a bad spot getting damaged then time lapsing back to base. IS there any merit to running weaver and getting manta+BoT and pushing out a side lane using BoT to tp to the other side lane push it out with illusions and swarm then lapse back to the other lane and split push that way? or just not reliable when you are split pushing without your ulti anymore, even if the cooldown is very low.
