Ofc you can make it shorter, but the shorter it is the worse it gets. Anyway, maybe it will be decent but it will be really hard to do, none of the other games of the genre did it right last time I checked
Making the tutorials mandatory and take ~3 hours might be a semi-decent way to stop griefers spamming new accounts when the game becomes f2p.

That video makes me want to pick up Invoker. I usually play mid so I guess it's about time that I learn him, yeah?
It's Na'Vi vs coL. We need to show that DotA2 is the future of eSports and we can start with this. I know for Asia/EU is a bad timing but show them some love.

Purge's casting it!? I haven't seen him cast anything in a long time, I'll be sure to tune in ^_^

I don't think that's too hard for new players to understand. When I tried league of legends for the first time, it was frustrating that I could not stop my spells once I had activated them. It adds depth.
If i couldn't cancel hooks as pudge i would be a sad pudge against heroes with fast turn-rates.
But yea i laugh at how many people still talk about the input delay which was fixed ages ago, and then refuse to accept the thing that turn-rates, cast animations and attack animations are all intentional. If a sandking stuns behind a sven the sven has to turn around to stun, making sand king get off his ulti, if there was no turn-rate sven would just turn around instantly and stun sand king before the channeling was over.

Or an earthshaker being unable to cast any spells when there's a clockwerk near him with dem MINISTUNZ (same for jakiro and now leshrac)

Actually, making it mandatory would be good, having to go through it once for every new steam account starts the game. They can easily break it into small 5-10 min segments, so you can do some assignments now and others at a later time. Good players would should be able to finish them fast, and you should only have to go through the tutorial just one time, unless you want to smurf a lot. Think about it, pro players only need like one extra account for private practice (and if they need more I'm sure Valve would not mind helping them skip that part). Only other reason for a ton of alternate accounts is to stomp players worse than you and you want to limit that as much as possible.

I was going to check it out, right until i realized who the caster was. Maybe if i can watch it ingame.

The match id is 45562938 but I have no idea how to watch it, sounds like fun though as it's Dendi playing Meepo :D
One way is to open dota and click watch->recent games->filter->type match id in search bar and the click the replay and click reveal winner (or something like that) and then click download replay, and watch replay should become an option once you've finished downloading it.
Another way is to open dotabuff.com in the steam web browser and type the match id in the search field then click watch replay in the top rightish area.

MLG said they will post a VOD tomorrow. Also how is it 2am in Poland, it's 2am in Australia?

ET isn't the same as EDT? Coz it would be 1am here if it's 7pm EDT, my math failed me, as usual

Either way, putting a match on a Patch day where everyone is waiting for 6.75 + new heroes and at such a bad time for EU it's a mistake for MLG. I don't know if they really care about viewers (of course they do) but they should at least in DotA2. Also pick Ayesee as the caster.
If they would put it at like 10 or 11 CEST they would have at least more 5,000 viewers. Russian fans never disappoint and watch the stream even if it's not HD or Russian caster casting the game. And again, it's Na'Vi!

They're obviously testing us.
But they know that they will not get € to the HD or even viewers. I go to work at 7pm. Even if I want to watch it's impossible for me and many many others. If they want viewers or € I recommend them to push the schedule time at least 3 or 4 hours earlier. I would even pay for HD if that even happens...
