The most recent games I've seen PL played by decent players in pubs they take the ult at 6. The reason I say in pubs is because no one plays PL outside of a pub. Here's fpvod of 820 playing PL. Shikyo will be happy, he gets dopplewalk at 8 and ult at 6/11. He then proceeds to go stats until level 14 but it's a rough game. His item build is probably a little baffling. PMS into Urn and wand into Treads into Diffusal. + Show Spoiler + No idea what version this is from but it's at least a fairly recent one (it could be before tranquil boots came out, but then the pms thing is even weirder)

Either way if you just build stats until like lvl 10 and want doppelwalk maxed by teamfights as well that's just not going to go nicely. You'll turn it from "dont have doppelwalk maxed by lvl 9 teamfights" into "dont have doppelwalk maxed by lvl 23 teamfights" or something like that. Also I like skilling the first point of ult around 6 or so against mage lanes. Also I think that ult should take priority over lvl 3 + 4 jux. Not sure if you should keep jux at 1 or 2, though. By the way, at what point am I supposed to sell my Tranquils for Travels? What? I think you misquoted, were going for Firebolt. Just in general though, Carries skills is always situational depending on the game. So I veer away from recommending just a skillset without the logic behind it. Max Q is non-optional, everything else is up in the air. Push strategy, only 1 in Doppelwalk, max your E. Aggressive laners/Magica? Get your Ultimate when you can. Just want to be really passive? 2-3 in Doppel, stats, get your E later. Want to be very aggressive? Q W. etc

I did some research, people say it was inherited from wc3 engine. But isn't it bad for newcomers. I mean there aren't any "new people" in dota 2, basically old dota players transfered and thats it. I think its one of the reasons why dota 2 isn't so popular. Turnrate. I guess you are used to playing Hon so it will take a few hours to get used to it. You won't notice it soon. http://reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/10uv63/excuse_me_but_what_is_the_concept_of_turn_rate/

I know about turnrate. I checked it. Delay exists even when you move forward. Also, what I hate about dota 2 is that when you last hit, you have to consider the swing before hit which is usually 0.33 sec. Thats why most new players cant last hit properly. I understand that these are all important aspects of "Dota" and valve tries to stay with it. But c'mon, its not appealing for casual players. There is no way game will be popular if such difficult (frustrating) mechanics exist in it. Why are they scared of improving game mechanics? I think they should focus more on strategic/teamwork aspects of the game.

There is no grounds for you calling ANYONE out and being a dick about it. Don't do it, period. If you must due to lack of control, PM the person. For the record, I don't see any flamebait. @bokeevboke: That is part of the game, it is how it always was and will be. It doesn't take that long to learn every heroes attack animations+projectile speeds and turning rates. They make sure every hero is unique in attacking, it's like a different muscle memory set. Once you get past it.....it's just Strategy/Team play like you wanted.

I think they should focus more on strategic/teamwork aspects of the game. You shouldn't generalize what you feel to most players. The mechanics and learning each hero since they all have different animations is part of the fun of the game. Also, it's funny that you say there's "no way" DotA2 will be popular from this, considering that DotA (WC3 version) has over 10 million downloads every time a new version is released, and that is not even including China, which people have estimated at anywhere from 10-50 million unique players. If it weren't appealing for casual players, why would it be the most played game in the world?

I asked some question based on my knowledge and thats it. I'm very interested in dota 2. It looks awesome when you watch tournaments and all. Its much better than LoL to spectate tbh. Since I liked it alot I tried it, and came to me that the game is too hard for new players eventhough I have some dota-like experience. Thats why I asked this question.
