Meanwhile Solace from PB rq against sing :S I don't think it's Solace himself. When Sing2x checked his Dota profile, he didn't have any clan logos on it. So either PB doesn't have clan logos yet but more obscure teams do (can someone check it out?), or that guy is a fake.
aui has said on stream like 100x that Solace isn't in PB. He is a friend to the crew and will join to scrim from time to time but he is not a team member.

Got the SK in my game that was playing singsing (when he was playing TA and sing was like omg this sk is good) the other day :o. My mmr must be higher than I thought.

I'm falling in love with Tidehunter and hard lane.Think I might stick to that for a while, haven't been having much fun jungling or trying to support other people thus far. With less than 25 games no one knows how to farm so its sad watching your lane buddy miss practically every CS. Tidehunter 4 lyfe.

yup tide hardlane is awesome. Most people just try to kill him so they go over aggressive on him and get anchorsmashed to death. Passive laning however can hurt tide really hard in lvl and gold (well, almost the same for all hardlane hero but tide cant even go gank).
I recommend the shark hat for tidehunter, he looks so cool with that hat!
Also, today mm god has been kind to me, won like 6/7 games in a row (there is one lost game in between but it was a 6mins leaver game). Not going to touch the damn mm until tomorrow evening again, while i'll probably play some TL2 tonight, so excited!!

Finally got promoted to very high tier lately. Got 3 wins, 3 losses in 6 games, all very fought and well played. No one ever whined, map was never black, tears were shed.

I know it's not based on win loss but the performance thing really annoys me sometimes.

Don't know why you think those games being in the "very high" bracket matters what so ever, it's not like there's ANY difference what so ever between the lower end of very high and the higher end of high. There are loads of games where the game is considered very high and you have people who leave by 10 mins, no wards or courier, all carry lineups, the standard "idi nahui cyka))" shit, etc. etc.

Damn that is a lot of games played as Chen.

If you mouseover a certain part of the performance bear, it tells you how it rates your heroes. Pretty much... wins/losses are not considered but more of your performance compared to people within your skill level...

The cutest thing about dota 2 is definently the player who says "All push now" and when asked why responds with "mum is making me go to bed in 10 minutes".
Ah the memories of trying to explain the nature of multiplayer games to parents. It never worked.

But how does it rate that performance against other players? K/D/A?

But how does it rate that performance against other players? K/D/A? I certainly think so. Unlike all the people I know I am a very polar player. So my performance bars go from nearly 100%(Viper) down to the heroes with which I tend to have negative KDA(windrunner, ench). Viper is actually the hero that tipped me off. Nethertoxin makes it likely to accidentally get kills in teamfights(+128 dam on <20%) even if people on your team try their best to lasthit.
Anyway, does anybody have more info on that?
edit: Checking my stats with Dotabuff, it´s not impossible that the performance bar is based on vanilla KDA. Maybe your KDA in comparison to other heroes of your skill bracket? Apparently people in my bracket cant play Viper or Lion.

Confirming solace isn't on pb. So his actions--especially in pubs--don't represent our team.
He is going to paris for eswc with us, because sneyking is not 18 and thus not allowed to participate, though.

It is almost certainly based on K/D/A, yes.

It's definitely not KDA, my top 2 heroes are Chen and Rubick when I mostly play solomid. It's probably just a variation on their matchmaking algorithm.

I have a feeling relative xpm/gpm have a lot to do with it. My 5/5 heroes is stuff like gyro, where I just had 5 games of carry solomid gyro, going stats/flak (real good btw). I suspect the xpm/gpm were way higher than the average gyro, so the performance is higher. I actually consider my good heroes (support roamers like cm venge etc) to be way better than my shitty carry heroes, and yet their performance bar is shit by comparison to my antimages, drows and so on

What does that have to do with anything. The KDA you get on those two heroes is better in comparision to other people who play those heroes at around your matchmaking level.
Like, going 15/0 on invoker isn't THAT impressive, and probably won't make your performance go up by that much, while going 15/0 on CM will probably make it fill up instantly.
|
I highly doubt my 1-5 w/l record with Rubick is worth 4,5 bars regardless. The mere fact that most of my Rubick games were onesided stomps in the opponents favour makes it pretty fucking unlikely that I get a better score than most people, especially for a hero that is played so much.
