if you're carry nothing besides damage matters, so a level 7 huskar with <3% hp has 112+60 base damage at lv 7 = 172 damage, but since its attack speed modifier is 224% + 35 agi off base 1.6 attack speed, your overall dps is much higher than either the drow or the venge at lv 25. Why you're thinking about carrying with heroes as garbage as venge or drow that get completely outclassed by a lv7 huskar is beyond me U guys suck at math and are completely awful at picking good carries, l2p case in point: https://dotabuff.com/matches/30357788 | ||

Necrolyte's strengths are in being able to sit in the middle of a teamfight and force people to take a ton of damage and instagib almost any hero in the game if they get focused (AM is probably the only hero who you can't just ult when they're below 40% hp after level 16 for a free kill). He was buffed by a large margin last patch but it still doesn't make up for all the direct and indirect nerfs he's taken over the years (Bloodstone no longer giving hp/sec per charge, continually gimped vanguard, 50 lower range). Necrolyte with a bloodstone used to be a decent choice because once you get killed him his team got a massive heal and he could make use of the massive regen due to his high spell costs. On a sidenote, he's probably actually really good against morphling but takes a ton of farm to get to the point where he both doesn't die instantly to the morph and can be beneficial in ways besides ulting a disabled low hp morphling. His low projectile speed on his death pulse and low auto attack projectile speed on top of a low movespeed make it difficult for him now that everyone and their mother are buying drums (pop drums -> run away. Same with force staff) or picking very mobile heroes that he can't catch (WR, Morphling, Naga, AM, etc.). Even allies can wind up dying because they run too rapidly for the death pulse to catch up to them before that last venomous gale tick goes off. So talking Necrolyte item builds - the last successful Necrolyte I played against went Orchid. Still unsure if I like that as much as either getting a sheep or a more typical mekansm build. | ||
