Spam Stop. You can also turn auto attacking off in the options, but then it's weird. Not weird if you played HoN, for example. what do you mean? I played HoN alot, auto attack is turned off, by pressing H, but in HoN you also a click sometimes, which you probably can't with this option turned on. Always playing with autoattack off. You can a-move just fine... It's only for when you're standing still and run off to attack the closest target(More often than not this fucks things up for me, as a bonus lasthitting is easier) I prefer auto attack on just because of hold posi against bloodseeker ult. You should be moving your hero constantly anyway, standing still is a habit that can be abused by area spells and skillshot type spells. Apparently I´m the only guy who has his hotkeys in a rectangle(like grid hotkeys in sc2). I use qwertz and downwards from there. 1-4 for groups. If I´m informed correctly, next hero to be ported should be Meepo. Where did you get that Abaddon is last to be ported? Source on that? My source is Cyborgmatt. Guy seems to be accessing partially implemented content or something, his predictions on next hero are usually spot on.
Probally from this pic that was taken durint the International I believe:

It's obviously not guaranteed or anything like that, but some people think this is the order heroes will likely be released. There is still a lot of time for it to change even if it is an intended order.

Ive been waiting for meepo for months. -_-

Hmmm, my mouse doesn't have any extra keys to bind so that's not an option. Normally I use z x c q 4 space for my item hot keys. My 1 is my hero hotkey, 2 courier, and 3 is all non-hero units. I also have control to command all units so I've never actually found a need to use control groups in dota 2. For those that use control groups, what do you use them for?
The accidental pinging would really annoy me so I don't think I'll be using any alt+ hotkeys... so I suppose my only options left are the keys right of y, h, and b.

just checked out slark.. his third skill and his ulti seems abit ehmmm, can he become invisible for 5.5s and attack/cast spells while invis on a 25s cooldown? While stealing 1-2 stats of the enemy hero per hit for.. 60s when its maxed? Seems like a crazy one lol

Many have been. I actually want to see Phoenix and Abaddon. Primarily because they supposedly are reworking Phoenix so I want to see their portrayal or take on the heroes. Alas, you are not alone, Meepo seems to be at the top of a lot of people's list for heroes wanted.

I actually prefer auto-attack off for the exact same reason! BS ult. If I decide to fight, I can do so, but if I want to keep facing the same way while waiting for the rupture to expire, I can do that as well. And last-hitting is pretty relaxing when I don't have to keep moving (spamming animation cancels is available in both modes so no problem)
I just feel auto-attack off gives you more options than 'on'.
As for hotkeys.. with the default QWER-DF skill setup I ran out of acceptable hotkeys for items (I'm not a fan of alt+anything or ctrl+anything), so I moved my skills from QWER-DF to ERTY-FG. This gives me `QWD for items (and two mousebuttons) A/S attack/stop as always Z is learn skill X is courier C is quickbuy V is scoreboard B is shop Space is stickybuy. Numbers are my control groups for summoner heroes
It's a bit odd but I couldn't find any other way to get good item hotkeys while keeping all of the other ones easily accessible. I'm pretty used to it now.

Yup, part I like most about his ult is the hp regen whenever you're in the shadow as a passive. It's invisibility but you know where he is cause there's like a smoke cloud over him. Very fun when you steal all that agi but fragile etc at least has some sort of escape in his ult, his little leap thingy and dark pact if timed right can be very good against stuns.

ugh sounds like he can be quite obnoxious to play against with some heroes :p

^ I use auto-attack as well. For myself, last hitting on its own is simple enough if you have the concepts down. What makes it difficult is the skill or ability of those you are going against (and general feel and idea of how to play the hero). Since for myself, I last hit two different ways depending on the hero and circumsance:
1) Stop animation 2) Moving side to side and right click for last-hit
Pretty much heroes like AM I tend to use Stop unless getting severely harassed. But there are heroes where you simply cannot do that such as sniper (whom I hate as a hero) and have to move side to side. Between these two, last hitting be caaaake. I do use qwer but I also use hotkeys on my keyboard for items (I use G110 keyboard) so I can use them easily enough and hotkey groups with the standard 1234 since I am accustomed to Sc.

While his skill set seems really imba, you must take note that he is even more fragile than pugna. Just reveal him and start right clicking.
Slark is an extremely effective noobstomper though..

You can purge dust with dark pact, but yes, he is extremely easy to nuke down. Zeus eats slarks for dinner.

Troll Warlord coming so soon... Oh god.

Just checked out Ember Spirit and Legion Commander, is ember spirit a viable carry? I thought he looked very interesting possibly even very fun to play!
And Legion Commanders 2nd skill looks amazing and does his 2nd skill work as a single target axe helix?

Ember Spirit was very powerful when he came out. He got hit by a really harsh set of nerfs in 6.74 though.
Neither hero is in -CM yet so we haven't seen either in a competitive setting.

ember spirit's probably the best new hero, mostly cus shackles is really good i don't think he's much better than existing carries but he might be workable and yes legion commander's second skill is a single target helix, you can jungle from 1 with him

Like I remember something about your W/L ratio not mattering nearly as much as your performance in games, but how does that work? What odes it take into consideration if that's true? The only thing i can tell you for sure is that: Performance doesn't matter to your mmr, the only thing they take into account is whether you win or lose a game.

ember spirit is a batman. If you missed the QQ period of those new heroes, check this one out from PD forum, remember to click on his expansion pack.

I really hope Valve will implement a real ELO or something like that system tho. Now they're doing it the Blizzard way, they hide how it works, and it seems in LoL (I know nothing about it but I know you have a visible ELO) the ELO system works well and allow a good ranking.

IMO nothing good comes out of having visible rating.
The people who are good know how good they are. And those who aren't--well it's better when they don't have a number by which to flail their e-penises around.
