Not surprised, only surprised at the fact that there was no ceremony.
Ohs noes, warp prism is out of the bag - I knew it'd be a turning point for toss.
I just was hoping that its exposure would be delayed... of course speaking as a non-toss.

my guess is they give the money to the parents cuz money is family business. probably they dont know how to get max yields, so the parents care about this.

remember, even though the clan is called "old Generations" they guy is only 19 years old...
All what KT currently needs is a Zerg and a second Terran

I like how the winner of the GSL is the race that people are complaining about as being the weakest lol..

Its not just culture, in the end whatever money you give to your parents is going to come back to you as your inheritance. Also the older generations in asian families in general are very careful about spending, and do not spend too much on partying, travelling and other social activities which are prevalent in the west. Giving back the money to parents is a way of keeping themselves grounded and helps keep the money secure, so that they can have a safe future with the investment.

I dunno dude, if you think of the cost for your parents to raise you, it seems VERY selfish that the few kids that win a lot of money that they don't really need it to not give at least some back to their parents.
And MC wouldn't be so good if he didn't have oGs to pay, feed, and supply a progaming house and practice partners, so again, makes sense to give back. 90% of oGs players will not be able to pay back so its good that he can.

I mean, normally people work and have enough trouble supporting for themselves and possibly their own potential kids, but this is a rare sum of money for a young person to win.

Most people I know that have a sudden rice in financial success tend to give money to their family (cars, house, cash etc). The only difference here is that Koreans is very upfront about it.

When did you first think you were going to win?

- In the first set, my opponent played as he expected, so Terrans are still below me. I expected a cheese rush in most games, but Rain showed different strategies. It was a bit startling, but I could hold it off.

I don't think there's anyone out there who can beat me. If I play Terran I would have won three times. I won as a Protoss because I'm so good.

anyways, damn, the last line made me lol so fucking hard. whether hes an arrogant, an idiot or smth else. just hearing those words from a korean m*************cking PROGAMER gives me hope. not balancewise, but i just missed honest words from progamers, because its so rare to hear them complaining

That was the interview right after he won, this one is probably when they got to sit down and interview him.

Yeah and I think he's right too. PvT is usually about even but MC makes it look totally Protoss favored. What was he in GSL? like 16-2 in PvT? Damn, that's just dominance.
